Its SG done right without the stupid funpub repurposing. Everyone knows funpub was not allowed or didnt want to use the nerf gun mold back in 2008. So instead, they used a mold that purposely was made to resemble Galvatron. That was all they had available in 2008 so it was fine back then in a funpub sorta way. Now its 2022 and nearly every G1 character has a modern unique mold. We dont need repurposing. Hell, we dont need funpub either. Funpub fanatics are lucky they getting a jet mode at all. I would have been fine with a tank since we obviously wont be getting a gun. And now they can make a SG Galvatron in red and ditch the helicoptor mold since the funpub SG Galvatron was a blatant stand in for a CHUG Galvatron.

 

Aw yeah. Pre-ordered this instantly.

 

I\'m surprised at how positive the reaction to this is. This mold, which I didn\'t think was that popular, has had SO much use. Glad they did the extra parts and the alternate transformation, although I think the exposed upper legs in vehicle mode looks poor. 

On the plus side, I know the original is highly sought after and not the easiest to find. Good on Hasbro for giving people a shot at a substitute.

 

God, that looks like shit.

 

I love the colors. I'm a sucker for white jets with crystal blue cockpits. I've been jonesing for a Godaikin Albegas for years. But that's the only draw for me - I have no affinity for SG nor does the headsculpt look all that great for the character. I'll save my $30 for something else.

I honestly don't understand the Kool-Aid drinkers on this forum. This is another shameless cash grab. How can anyone look at that poor excuse for an alt mode, and zero remolding to the chest, head, arms, and legs and say anything otherwise?

We are suckers. I rushed to ebay just to check out the price on a 2008 SG Megatron, and it's going for $1000 now.

Of course I bought it. I don't have $1000 to put down on one toy, and now this is as close as I'm going to get to owning this character. But I'm still really pissed about the missed opportunity, with Kingdom Galvatron literally right there.

Hey this is actually pretty cool. Couldn't give two shits about Shattered Glass or Netflix WFC Trilogy so if I get this I'll probably repaint it as G1 Megatron to fit with my Siege bots since my collection is 0% beholden to the Siege show.

Honestly, I really like it. The jet is a bit awkward and I can see why some don't like it (the leg gap in particular) but I think it works well for what they worked with. And I don't hold awkward against Cybertronian modes, a lot of them look awkward even when done well, its part of the alien charm in my opinion. But the robot mode is perfect for me, I love it.

Looks okay but a pass for me, I thought that everyone here would rip it apart lol but I see a lot of mixed comments mostly positive

 

I wonder how long it'll take for someone to make the cockpit shield and winglet parts on Shapeways/Cults3D/etc or in a 3PP add-on kit for use with Siege Megs (and/or ER Megs)?

Edit:

Will SG Soundwave just be a Siege Ironhide/Ratchet redeco? The cassettes already have 5mm pegs to plug into his ports in vehicle mode, so they might not even remold the chest/windshield parts.

Honestly if it had more retooling for a more coherent alt mode and a new head it would be way better.
