I found there's the netflix Primal and Rattrap set on shelf(in Taiwan),already have rattrap and still consider whether buy kingdom Primal or buy this set

 

Sad to see the final comparison shots of the Rattraps - looks like Netflix doesn't even have painted buck teeth?

Looking at that, and also at the forearm panels (brighter on Kingdom, much darker on Netflix), looking like retail Kingdom is the easy choice

That's either a custom face mod or an interesting botch job at the factory (painting template probably not lined up right). None of the renders or preview pics have a different face. Also received ours and is the exact same smirk face mold as before but with different paint apps.

This is ours. I think there's an edge of a painting template near the right side of the mouth. It almost looks like there's a depression for the 'crack' but is simply from how they paint.


...and yes, he does not look like 'sparkless', undead, or even like the show. He's in full army / jungle camo.

 

sigh... Guess he's Skyquake... or Shitstorm... Expanding on my idea for him to be 'Deadrain'. Sprays chemicals AND or nanites that re-activate dead biological or mechanical life.... Have him voiced by Jeffrey Combs. Perhaps have him like some drug addled mad scientist. Oooo... maybe Starscream's crazy former university roommate when he was studying to be a scientist. Starscream hates him, but he feels indebted to him because he helped him with his disertation.

 

Sparkless Seeker's unintentional army jungle deco meshes well with Sandstorm's desert camo deco.


Also tried looking at the G1 Seeker chart and SS's deco doesn't match any of them.

 

Glad  I skipped out on the  normal  release &  waited for this one.

 

Prime vs Prime posted his review of Optimus Primal and Rattrap repaints:

As we figured, underwhelming. I was mostly surprised to see another color for the gorilla chest, making for a weird two-tone thing.

 

I mainly like how the new feet look. On both figures. Primal looks better with the silver (both because it's more show accurate and because it blends better with the gorilla feet that become his heels), and Rattrap looks better with those sandy colored feet rather than the fleshy pink feet of the original that always grossed me out. It's weird that the front paws have less paint on them though.

 

Repaint how though? The Netflix line has never been about anything other than variations on their original colors with some extra battle damage.

 

I'm having a good day. Just got in my BBTS POL with Gen Selects G2 Megatron, Hot Shot, the single release power washers, spin out and cordon, along with hubcap who I've already swapped heads with the cliffjumper head I painted yellow to make Bumper. But the coolest thing is I now have gen selects Deep Cover to compare with Netflix Deep Cover and I gotta tell you Netflix just wins. The blue is just perfect.
Then I see the primal review and I feel a little better about double dipping. I was only doing it to pass the older versions to my son but I'm really digging Primal. Or else I'm deluding myself but I'm a happy crazy.
