Wow, Galvatron’s alt mode is even worse and and more unfinished then I initially thought - he makes Siege Astrotrain’s shuttle mode look fully realized by comparison. Geez. Did they put any effort into trying to make it accurate? It just looks like a bunch of his robot mode parts kinda-vaguely organized like a cannon. Headshake.

galvys colors look nicer in that video though then they have in some of the pix.

nice to see Tracks isn’t completely hollow in the torso like I thought he looked from the Hasfest pix. That hood tampo is still inexplicably cheap, but the rest of him looks nice - probably stick with RYS because I’m a sucker for that mold, but I’ll pick up Road Rage and hopefully they do Loud Pedal.

man, Rodimus is so close to nailed it, it’s so weird they chose not to finish the alt mode... seeing it in that rotation, seems like it would be such a minor alteration to make the cab sunk I. So the back wheels line up with the trailers front wheels... I wonder what the technical reasoning was? I’m also concerned at how little clearance the trailer wheels look to have. Robot mode looks ace though.

man, around here you could still find Wave one plentifully right before Christmas - I think the last Ironworks finally sold at the Fred Meyer store by my house in the last few weeks.
(whereas I only saw parts of wave 2 & 3 once or twice each - I think I saw Smokescreen and Arcee 2x and most of the others once - not sure I ever even saw Fasttrack)

 

Oh no no no somebody lost a 10 year bet in CAD on that fuckin rhinox.

 

So Rhinox has four of his Gatling guns, not just two? I wonder if there are ports where they can be placed aiming forwards. I have mixed feelings concerning the figure but I like that his alt mode's figure seems to envelope the robot parts almost completely.

Rest look pretty good. Liking the Ark in that shot. It's the one (aside from Wingfinger. I'm not into the bone guys, cool alt modes aside) of this batch I haven't pre-ordered, due to size, space and (mostly) finance, but regretting that a bit. Likely stick to my guns here as I have other priorities, but I like it a lot.

 

I did not know that. I thought they were just armor/weapons for other bots.

 

TRACKS

I have my pre-order in. I’m told July he ships. However, there is one tiny thing that could make me cancel the order. It’s a tiny nit pick but it’s important to me: if Track’s weapons don’t store/hide away in car mode, I’m canceling. To me the beauty of Tracks is that all of his gear hides away in car mode. ALL of IT!

 

I'm glad I'm not the only to notice that. Also his weapons seem very tiny and flat which isn't a huge a deal, but the presence of 2 pairs suggests they could've given us just 1, chunky pair instead.

Therefore, I hope there's a very compelling reason as to why he comes with 2 pairs of gattling guns.

Anyway, Im glad I got of the new figures pre-ordered so I don't have to deal with the stress of "shadow" restocks at 4am, finding none anywhere in store, and of course scalpers.

I mean, I didn't preorder Wingding as I bet he'll be on Amazon by November with plenty of stock, and I'm waiting for Galvatron and Hot Rod because I don't very much care for those characters tbh. So hyped though tbh, Hasbro and Takara are spoiling us and really knocked it out the park overall with the WFC line tbh.

 

I don't mind their inclusion, but they do seem rather redundant. He has a cannon on his arm and his whole body turns into a larger cannon.

It reminds me of what they did with the G1 Megatron toy. He had a huge fusion cannon on his arm. His silencer turns into an even larger shoulder cannon or combines with the stock to become an even larger than that, mounted cannon. And he turns into a pistol.

But he doesn't come with an additional hand gun, like all the others, so let's give him a strange looking silver gun too.   With multiple barrels if I remember correctly, just to ensure he has enough firepower.

I mean, this isn't really a complaint. I understand these extra weapons are fashioned on Galvatron's space ship, and that is nice little Easter egg, and I suppose great for those who want more ships to scale* with Unicron. In the end too many weapons are better than too few, and it's extra weapons that can be shared around for others, if you like.

* Well, not technically scale. They'd be invisible at Unicron's size, but I'm sure you get what I mean.

 

I suspect the toy photographer had 2 rhinox, one in beast mode and one robot. Not storing the weapons in beast mode, he/she put them on the robot s back

 

I hope that road rage isn\'t going to be just a repaint, she hopefully she will have a few remoulded parts

I hate the faux chest with half the car hanging off the back situation on Tracks, but I am still compelled to get him.
