    If you have a blog/web site or YouTube channel, contact Hasbro and see if you can qualify or what you have to do to receive their free media promotional items for next year. It can’t hurt and all they can do is tell you no or let you know what qualifications you need to receive their free promotional boxes.

    Ah yeah the constant cycle of youtubers getting free goodies from their corporate overlords in exchange for non biased reviews. How wonderful!

    Let's be honest, there's gonna be something of a bias there inherently. You don't do things like Transformers toy reviews and that sort of stuff for a job, or run a Transformers fan site for over 2 decades unless you really love Transformers.

    I can't speak for everyone - but in what I do, which is much different than youtube folks etc - I don't buy, or solicit via sponsors etc - anything that I don't like going into it. So if I think a figure is sub par when it's announced, I don't get it. And therefore don't shoot it, do a gallery for it, review it, etc.

    I don't really review things either, I just like taking pretty pics of things.

    Occasionally something will be much different than what I expected after it gets here, but that's rare.

    *Looks at videogame review sites*
    I don't think that is necessarily the case.

    Well of course Hasbro isn't sending these to fans out of pure generosity. It's the kind of pay to play stuff that makes a lot of "influencers" unreliable when they try to give their opinions when they are given nice stuff from the corporations they are usually covering in their content.

    No, they are sending them out for free as free advertising. They aren't just being nice, they want a “wow this is so cool, look at these amazing toys”. It's called marketing, not generosity.

    OH yeah, I'm not accusing you of blatantly hyping up every figure that they've released, because some of them have been real stinkers. But I do think that some people will be more willing to give a subpar figure the benefit of the doubt, like if it's an important character and this has been one of their only decent recent incarnations, when they're really familiar with the franchise. Or I'm misrepresenting it and we're even more critical of them.

    Yeah, I was surprised at that too. I don't think the original show was rendered in a size above standard TV at the time, pre-HD. Which was 640 x 480. HD is 1920 x 1080. And 4k is 3840x2160. So to get these bigger than they were originally exported will require a pro level upscaling. It can be done, but to be done well, probably expensive.

    Not to mention that it was in 4 x 3 ratio, not widescreen. So if they do upscale it, will still have black bars on the left and right. Or, cropping off the top and bottom.

    Either way, I just like the logo on it. I have the ones from Rhino here if I felt the need hehe.

    With this I confirm that if they are giving away 4 figures: 2 Kingdom (only wave 2) and 2 WFC Netflix (only wave 3) at random, since in other pages they played a Voyager like Dinobot or Inferno G1.

    @Tony_Bacala A doubt, did you get 4 DVDs in a package?o_O  I thought there were only 2.
