I regret buying some of the Siege figures like Siege Ironhide, Barracade, Bluestreak, etc when I later bought the ER versions. I don’t like Cybertronian modes and greatly prefer Earth modes.

At least I’m no longer a completionlist like I was in the past and I managed to recoup all my money back by selling all my Siege figures that had updates in ER. It was all just a big waste of my time.

Siege Ultra Magnus and ER Sunstreaker are two figures I really liked when I first got them, but after a couple weeks I grew to despise them.

I’m glad I got Kingdom Magnus, and super glad I didn’t get Selects Spinout and Cordon.

I regret cancelling my Paradron Medics pre-order thinking there would be available stock or a restock like the Prowl and Ironhide set.

Way back in the late '90's, early 2000's when reissues started to come on stream, I remember thinking who would want a bright orange powermaster prime when Fire Guts God Ginari was released and sitting in online retailers for $50 dollars.

A figure I said I'd probably pick up someday but never did. If only I'd picked up ten of them and held them mint in box at the prices they go for these days!

Also regret not jumping on the powered convoy and shining Ultra Magnus reissues when they were freely available at reasonable prices.

    Biggest regret purchases:

Official: MP Shockwave. Didn't feel he was worth the money and I got it on a Black Friday sale for $100. This played a large part in jumping off the MP train.
Third Party: DX9 Transparent Phantom (I think that was the name), their all clear MP Mirage. Total trash figure, I couldn't transform it without fearing I was going to break it. Clear plastic sucks and this was all clear plastic.

    Biggest regret selling:

Honestly, too many. I've done a number of trades that I regretted soon after. Biggest regret was a huge trade I did for the Car Robots/RID Optimus and Ultra Magnus figures. This was only a few months before the reissue was announced and I didn't think the figures were that great to begin with. I also did a big trade where I parted with almost all of my legends figures for some admittedly good figures but I've seen sold off the majority of those so it feels like I got the raw end on that one too. Other figures I sold that I wish I still had are the Maketoys Nova Prime and Fallen figures, I think they'd fit in great with the current WFC line.

lol. so much this. Sold that turd on eBay for 99¢ back in the day and didn't regret it an ounce.

Also regretted buying Armada Superpants Prime, got it for 40% off at a weird "evening" sale a store near me was having right before Christmas, and it was still way to much for that brick. Superlink Grand Convoy. While he's not a brick like Armada Prime, he's possibly one of the worst leader-sized figures of all time, certainly the worst looking mainline Optimus maybe outside the later live action movie lines. I got suckered in by the chrome and how little I was getting in the Armada/Energon days.
yep, quite a few Legends releases that have skyrocketed that I regret not getting:
Ehobby Megalo Convoy(??) was that the name, the blue Classics Prime??? and Convobat too...

I regret not getting in on the ground floor of Iron Factory, but that was still when I was into MPs, so what're you gonna do?

Biggest purchase regret - I passed up on a Netflix Bumblebee before I knew how hard to find they were. I thought they'd be everywhere so I figured I could get it later. So much for that.

Biggest selling regret - I sold Siege Ratchet for $30 before I knew it was an exclusive or how much it really goes for. I thought I was making out like a bandit by getting even a little more than MSRP.

In general I've learned that its important to be aware of exclusives lately :p

Regret seeing Target exclusive Skywarp and Thundercracker in store and not picking them up, thinking $60.00 was too expensive for 2 figures. Seeing 6 Netflix Bumble bees at Walmart but only getting 1. I thought I was doing a service for other collectors but thinking back, idk if collectors or scalpers got them. If I knew scalpers go them, I would have bought all of them and sold to collectors at cost!

I have not sold any of my collection!

    Regret Buying:
    1. Studio series 15 (bee and charlie)
    2. Siege GUOP (trash retool and I picked it over a test shot of RTS Jazz and Siege Skywarp when he was still in stores)
    3. LG Misfire (I paid too damn much for it)
    4. Siege Megatron (esp since ER Megs is out)
    5. Siege OP (literally hours before ER was shown off LMFAO)
    6. CW Onslaught (I thought I could get each component piece by piece by simply waiting for a couple of years, but then I got UW Bruticus for 135 in November so now its pointless as hell)
    7. MPM Megatron (Taught me to wait for KOs)

    Regret selling:
None as I'm a professional hoarder and I started the collecting game in 2018 so I don't have that much toys

I regret buying Armada Arcee. I hated the thing so much I sold it to another fan within a month. (given that I typically can't get my act together to sell anything ever ...)

I regret some of the toys I didn't buy, as well. Nowadays if I'm even a little on the fence I try to just get it and return it later. doesn't help if I'm fully disinterested and then change my mind.

I regret selling G1 Tracks, tho I did get the TRU Reissue later. And the Masterpiece. and the CHUG version. and soon, Kingdom.

also regret selling my Monstructor set, where I had meticulously labelled every character's weapons with little ID numbers cut from the sticker sheets, so I could tell what gun went with what goon. At the time I was purging stuff but even with its G1-ness I miss the thing, even after all these years, and wonder where it is, who's loving it now, does it miss me too ... sniff ...

    Purchase Regrets:
-I regret the collab line, at first I was excited but then we’ll.... not really, OTHER THAN GIGAWATT!
-all the siege seekers and the earthrise 2 pack and all, I only kept ER starscream and am hoping to find the 2 pack to just have the main 3 seekers. I did sell my stuff for the overpriced bs I bought them for but still major regret
-volcanicus, this one was a good combiner with the PE upgrades but once I saw the 86 grimlock I was sold solid.
    Selling Regrets:
    - fansproject crossfire, he sells for more than he did back in 2016
    - voyager upscaled predaking, got him for 50$ sold him for 50 but he is now 120$ from recent eBay sales.

    BIGGEST REGRET:
EVERYTHING chug. This literally pisses me off but if I could I would restart entirely, just go legends scale, especially now if I could with the dr.Wu stuff and core scale. Still not decided on that

The off-screen guys are the only ones I truly liked. I just couldn't justify their prescence when I got rid of the actual movie characters.

I regret not pre-ordering Prowl and Ironhide. Preordering has always been something of an annoyance for me.. Little did I realize I would never see the damn thing in stock. ._.
