You say that like it's a bad thing, every other continuity has done that, I'd like to see one that goes to every other crazy planet the creative team can think of without ever setting foot on Earth.

So, if it turns out that this iteration of Beast Wars is actually the future of this iteration of G1 in these Comics, they're doing something pretty interesting by book-ending the traditional conflict without ever actually touching on it. Which can actually lend it an air of Mystery and Legend, kind of like how a lot of us are curious to know more about the war of the threefold spark, or the very short glimpses of the great war depicted in TF:A made it clear how horrible and apocalyptic it really was. (TF:A's depiction of the great war is IMO second only to IDW1 in terms of portraying its actual human, emotional, and spiritual cost. You can tell there was nothing fun about it... it was hell to go through)

Kick-ass art as always, @markerguru . IDW needs to use you for interiors more, your artwork is the best in the business. I don't understand why they've gone the direction they've gone.

I really like Airrzor not being the only girl on the team now and I'd like to see her be BBFs with Nyx.

I'd love to see a version of the artwork with Tigatron replacing Nyx. That's not a comment on this series or Nyx. It's more just wanting a nice S1 homage art piece.

I think so too, but the artwork is one of the reasons I stopped buying them, if more people do that it becomes a sort of downward spiral.... So I do question that as a business decision ; )

It has Nick Roche's style and signature on it though : )

I think we will see something like that once the pod babies start being introduced in earnest, but on the subject of Nyx, she and Skold are the ones who need character-based issues the most since we still know so little about them and they weren't in the show. So far we know little about Nyx and nothing about Skold.

Sidenote: I hope someone makes 3d models off Nyx and Skold to show what they may have looked like had they been in the show.

Why can't this be the actual art for the book? Instead of that chicken shit art that we been getting

I just recently dropped Nu-IDW Transformers and the Escape mini. The books are always late, the story is boring as fuck and each issue is forgetable.

I wil continue with Beast Wars because I enjoy the story and so far it has been shipping on time

The page from where I got it got confused then, since there says that.

TRANSFORMERS BEAST WARS #6 CVR C 10 COPY NICK ROCHE INCV (NE (MAY210470)

    Sin título.png

Although the title has just been edited with Nick, is that that page is hidden, so it is still in process. lol

    Now I edit it.

Art is always subjective. Idw have and had some great artists over the years but getting into arguments about it is pointless.

I've alwas said no one is making you buy the books. If the art or story doesn't float your boat then don't buy it. Freedom of choice. I'll akways support idw because I want to support the franchise.

I'm really getting into idw2 more now. It certainly has a different feel to idw1. We tend to look back through rose tinted glasses and renember the good times and think idw1 was incredible. It wasn't. It was amazing in parts and terrible in others. It became a crossover mecca as failing hasbro titles tried to piggyback onto the franchise. It ruined it. Only transformers v rom was any use. Visionaries was horrendous.

I'm looking forward to the 2021 annual even if its not a traditional annual.

Yeah, but IDW1 never stuck around in one place for too long. 33 issues in of IDW2 and they are still talking about Rubble's death. IDW1 was mostly made up of mini-series, focusing on different storylines and characters. If you didn't like one storyline, it wasn't long until another started. Its easy to forgive a book for being bad when there's only four issues of it. Ruckly though is clearly not wanting to make progress, not wanting to take the characters in new directions and places. Infiltration was seven issues long then we moved to Stormbringer, then back to the -ation titles, with each -ation book having its own distinct personality and made actual progress from the last -ation book. I'm not feeling that here. When you can the storyline just running around aimlessly, it just becomes tedious. There is no first act, second act, third act style of storytelling here so the things that happen in the books are just that, things happening. Even ongoing titles for Marvel and DC were made up of smaller storylines part of a larger ongoing storyline.

Much respect Alex! You (and Don Fig) are the greatest transformers artist I have seen in my 41 years on this planet and I wish I still had the option to buy a monthly/semi-monthly book filled with your art again. When that day does finally arrive I will be a happy fan. In the meanwhile I wish you and your family the best.
