Finally bought him. He does feels solid and packed in hand. One thing to note, on mine the joints is mixed bag. Like, some are tight, excessively so, and some other is loose that i have to apply nail polish. But all in all, good figure.

 

Quick question, how do you apply nail polish without making the paint all smudgey? I tried with a little test, and clear nail polish ate away at the paint a bit!

 

Use floor polish

 

Luckily for me, the joint that needs to tighten on my copy is not painted parts, nor does it located really close to painted parts.

But yea, if you life on america continent, floor polish, particularly pledge brand, would be better option.

 

Picked this guy up over the weekend, and he is awesome. He looks great against Megatron.

Just picked the netflix version of this guy up yesterday, man what a figure! I’m not over enthused by the hairy belly since it kinda weirds me out but everything else is fantastic. Fun transformation, great articulation, phenomenal detailing. Made my uncertain feelings of shifting away from MP BW in favour of the mainline stuff fade completely.

 

I love this figure but I had to do something about those lifeless eyes.

I like this mold, but I wish he was about 10 percent bigger. He's really just barely over a deluxe. I know he's much more solid, but just a bit too small for my liking.

 

Please tell me the waist breakage is a rare. SInce recently I got the figure and and it's on its way.

I feel like it's a one-off QC issue. Kinda like how MP BW Megs had reports of hip breakage but it was isolated to a specific batch that was assembled wrong, not a weakness of the figure itself

I heard about the (apparently widespread) paint scraping issues on the legs and I'm wondering. How are you all transforming or posing him? I'm handled and transformed and posed my copy plenty of times without running into this issue.

Both decos are good, but I like the darker colors on the Netflix version better.

If I didn't already have the normal version, I'd buy the Netflix for the same reason, but the differences are really negligible though going by those pic comparisons.

 

Despite my initial hesitation, I ended up picking up the Netflix set mostly cuz Primal and Rattrap are two of my favorite characters. I do think I like Netflix Primal more than the regular version (Rattrap not so much I think) but there is one problem. The black on the hands, while looking nice with the extra coverage compared to the original, are entirely painted. And that means...


... Yeah, the swords scratch the hell out of it. Granted it's not super visible most of the time, but I guess paint damage is just something that modern Primals can't get away from.

 

Hm i dont get why it had to be painted in there cause isnt an apes palm furless?
