Haven’t use the website version for a long time. I use Superbuy App to directly input purchases from Taobao.

 

I got it to work now. I had to log into Superbuy using Internet Explorer browser on my PC. The error came up when I was using Chrome or Microsoft Edge. I guess going forward I'll have to use IE for all my Superbuy parcel forwarding orders until it is resolved.

First Taobao suddenly not liking my IP address and now Superbuy forwarding page only working on IE.
It's like some force doesn't want me ordering from Taobao.
Good thing I found workarounds for these.

 

When was the last time you cleared your history in chrome? You might want to try that.

 

If you have one, a VPN worked for me. I'm in the west coast and can't for the life of me get TaoBao to load any page. However going to HK via VPN gets it to load. Though, I have to do that sliding verification here and there, but at least it loads now.

 

I tried many times but it didn't help. Everything was fine till a few days ago.

I wouldn't know how to go about getting a VPN, although I think it would be useful if I did. I just connect my pc to my mobile phone's wireless mobile hotspot and then I have no trouble with loading pages on Taobao.com.

 

There are plenty of subscription based VPN services that change your IP with a simple click of a button. Prices ranging between extremely affordable and not-so affordable.

I'm thinking about getting NewAge Seeker 3-pack and Seeker conehead 3-pack.
Are the savings from Taobao that significant when it comes to NewAge products or should I just go with other Chinese sellers like ShowZ, Baba, etc?

 

Received my package for the acrylic risers. All good, no breakage. No issues with quality.

No padding or bubble wrap used either. Instead, seller double-boxed it, and each box is double corrugated so the entire package is quite sturdy. Box wasn't big either, very little unutilized space.

Only issue is the the package was heavy since thick boxes were used. The weight of the 2 empty boxes alone was almost 0.8kg.

The weight of the risers were 0.1+ kg for the single level one, and 0.3+ kg for the double level one.

Total package weight was 1.3kg for 3 risers. Box volumetric weight for sea shipping would have been 3.2 kg. Not much of a difference in terms of the shipping rate charged.

Counting air shipping, the total cost (price + shipping) roughly translates to about S$5 for one single level riser, and S$8 for the double level one.

Woohoo!! Taobao item pages are loading up for me via my normal home wifi connection again. Also, Superbuy got their bug fixed on their forwarding order page of their website and I can paste the Taobao item URL link without generating an error.

I have a question for anyone that has used account balance for Superbuy. I was trying to pay for an order and in the payment options it will not allow me to choose the account balance option. The account balance is about half of the total cost. Does the account balance have to cover the total cost of the shipping for it to be used and would it be a good idea to add to the account balance so it covers the total shipping so I can use what's in there?

 

Yes the account balance has to cover the cost of the item. You can add funds using paypal. Click top up on the account balance page.

It shows fixed amounts in increments of 50 but you can type in however much you want

I just shipped a package from Superbuy that was Spindrift 2.0, NA Haraldr, and TitanPower Voltron. It came to about $180 for the items then $50 for SAL shipping. From ShowZ everything would have been about $280

What I always found laudable about showz is that usually on the majority of their items there is just a small mark up over cost of the item in china +shipping. Where the majority of your savings comes from is being able to combine shipping. The more you ship the more you save for the most part. But since showz does not have this option they pay that large initial price for the first 1kg of weight. Unfortunately Showz is often forced to raise their prices so its not always the case. They have such great customer service. They even shipped my dad figures while he was visiting China at Chinese retail prices.

I asked them once if they had a Chinese web presence and they told me no. My guess is they make more money not having a taobao (no cut to taobao). But if they did I would use superbuy to buy everything from them.

 

Just ordered MS Motormaster and NE Galvatron EX. Motormaster is about $100 compared to $130 at showz. Not as much savings on NE, it's about $54 from ShowZ's $70.

 

I’ve ordered quite a few things from ShowZ and still use them occasionally. I just use their prices since they are probably the cheapest of the stores I would use. They’re free shipping is dog shit tho. Takes forever. But you get what you pay for

I normally buy from Little Bee Prince and I think he's got cheesed off of me asking him via the Taobao chat if my various pre-orders are in stock yet. Consequently I'm trying to join his Wechat groups so you're automatically informed when things are in stock. I've installed the App and added him as a contact but I've hit a brick wall in that I can't understand the instructions below and the Engrish translation via Google is just word soup. Can anyone provide any clarity please ? Thank you for any help

I don't use Wechat myself. From the instructions there it seems to be saying that you should follow and register to their public account (蜜蜂模玩) using the phone number (yours?) shown in your Taobao POs to check on your POs and receive instock notices. (Not if it works when buying through Superbuy)

After registering, the next time you place a TB order, you can indicate your group under notes (at the checkout page) and you'll be able to enjoy their group discount on some items.
