I am sorry but that would have been me. :)
Finally got them in last week. Only searching for the bird 'Thunder Suzaku' from Evolbine III and then my Evolbine series is complete.

Evolbine II Tornado is back up at Mandarake though.

I think that one got snapped up before anyone here was able to grab it!

A bunch of new stuff up (and gone) today though - in-box Dark Flame Dragon even! Might still be in stock. I saw the speed eagle as well. I remember when I got mine, I ended up finding it on some super random internet store. The box had clearly gotten wet but was undamaged beyond that. When I opened it though, the inside of the box was fulla mold! Thankfully, all the parts were sealed in their plastic so the actual figure was okay.

The insects and dinos are my favoirites too. I remember getting Xenobine and being all excited and then kinda being like "....oh he's like... okay".

The pegs are pretty sturdy. That said, the only broken original mugenbine guy I have is Wanrikiguma, and that's a socket in his foot rather than a peg. Just treat 'em like they're a couple decades old, don't force stuff, and you'll prolly be fine.

You got a really good haul there! A little bit of everything! Congrats and enjoy!

Yeah Xenobines pretty weak, I like the tank mode and thats about it hahaha.

Thats reassuring! ive got a few broken roids and doubles so hopefully if anything does I can do some parts swapping!

Thank you! Id like to pick up more of the build gattai stuff, but they seem to be a little harder to find!

Wait hold up, I was bidding on a lot that had those same figures in it, were you the one who outbid me?

Edit: also what mugenbine aside from the mainline, spinny boys and their friends, do you recommended the candy toys?

quite possibly!! there was a Quest Knight and a Teiouryu missing the large robot head in it as well. Ive only got a few candy figures from a big lot and they are all missing bits, so I couldnt really say on them, they seem to be compatible with the mainline stuff though which is handy!

I recommend literally everything except Heroes. And even then, the little weapon guys in the Mugen Heroes line were kinda neat.

    Here's my breakdown:
OG Candy toys (3 General, Emperor, Four Dragons, Golden God) Weakest of the candy toys IMO, but still good if you just want simple models. Overall nothing to write home about as they were still finding their footing.

Saga (Arthur, Pharaoh, Pirate, Ashura, Guardian, Safari, Satan, Yamato, their recolors, and their respective dragons) Great! I know 'Saga' technically applies just to the recolors and Yamato, but I'm still using it to describe all uses of these molds. They're more modular than the previous series, and nearly all of them look rad. The dragons (smaller versions of the characters for Ashura, Guardian, and Safari) aren't necessary, but they do add to each of their respective teams, and their dragon forms look cool too. It's also not generally hard to find a lot of these. Yamato, IMO, is the weakest gestalt but none are what I'd call bad. Be prepared for a LOT of decals. Be prepared for those decals to maybe suck because of age, too. The Saga re-releases also had their own gestalts that you could make by combining both recolored sets. They aren't the most stable, but they look cool (especially red/blue Ashura and Safari's Winged Lion form)

G Gentoshi - These were capsule toys that turned into weapons for the other Saga sets. They're fine. There are two distinct sets of five characters each, and every character is a more human-like mugenroid, themed to match its respective Saga set. Each set has a gestalt form. One set forms a weapon for Guardian, the other forms a weapon for Safari. They're not as common, but if you look you can find 'em. Both sets can be found in multiple color schemes (I have a blue/grey set and red set for the Guardian weapon, and black/red/yellow and white/brown sets for Safari). I have almost universally found the decals on these to suck a LOT. That said, they're neat little sets if you just want more of the same vibe as Saga. I didn't put them in with Saga because they don't really integrate as well as say the dragons do.

Machine Robo Next (Vortex Pirates, Gravity Builder, ....The Police One?) I like these a lot too. They have a central Mugenroid and 4 limbs that work in a scramble-city style where limbs can be an arm or a leg. Each limb also has its own head for the gestalt, so you can get a lot of different gestalts out of one full set and customize a lot if you have more. Not always the easiest to find and the individual parts aren't as modular as Saga, but they're a different feel to the same general idea.

Moebine - As previously said, if you get past the anime girl figures, it's a great set (so much that I have 2). The individual animals are cool, the gestalts are cool (and there's more than 1 way to make the gestalt). It also has like... an internal frame so it's way more stable than other candy toy gestalts. Admittedly, the fact that all the animals have armor modes for the moes is cool as well. It's just a really unique and fun set. One thing to note - get some good tweezers if you pick this one up, because it defines sticker hell, especially if you want to put all the decals on the girls. Each figure has 50+ decals.

Evolbine - My favorite of the candy toys! The 3 main sets (Burning, Storm, Tornado) are comprised of 5 eggs that each have a baby and adult form, and then combine into a cool gestalt. Due to the fact that the gestalts are mostly just linking the eggs together, you can customize these pretty easily without worrying much about stability. Mugen Lightning's eggs have an animal form and a weapon form, and the 5th charater is more of a machine-robo-next-style Mugenroid. The cool thing is if you have a complete set, you can get extras and just use them as weapons. It also has a combined dragon mode as well (which... is kinda meh, but it's there!) I just really like these. Swapping them between modes feels a bit more puzzle-y, and--added bonus--no decals! I've got 2x Burning, 2x Storm, 1x Tornado, and 1.5x Lighting, but I'd buy more if they popped up (for the right price!)

Alright, that's my rundown! I've got all of 'em at this point so I can send any pics or descriptions people are curious about.

As for Mugen Heroes.... man I dunno. It's cool they work with the original lines, but like... the whole 'card torso' thing just makes them really ungainly and messy. I really, really want to like them, but they're just a really low note to end the series on. I haven't looked at the new Machine Robo stuff yet (the name is escaping me...) and from what people here have said, they're pretty meh.

Thanks mate this was really helpful! I'll try to grab some candy toys sooner or later!

    Also!

What do you all think of this lot? it's pretty big but looks like it's missing parts, the thing that interests me is the fact there's a complete proto air leon in there. I recently found another lot that has complete proto build giraffe and proto carry eagle so I'm considering this.

I mean, for $10... It definitely seems like it's not the most complete lot, but there's some neat stuff. The arsenal on the right alone to me is worth $10.

    Mandarake Online Shop
4 Dragons up on Mandarake for a decent price.

just picked up some more bits from Mercari through buyee (kaiser condor, the 3 exclusive roids, Evo Rhinoce and a big lot that looks like it has a complete Wanrikiguma, speed eagle, powerful tyranno, heavy mammoth and chase dober in it)

also found someone selling the blue mugen general 5 minus a giraffe leg, is it really that rare to demand such a price??

I'm no expert, but it's hard to say where there's not really a market for Mugenbine stuff, y'know? I haven't really seen that set up for sale before, complete or otherwise, so maybe? I wouldn't buy it regardless just because of the missing leg, because what's the chance that you'll find JUST THAT LEG? XD

I did not realize this was missing a leg, that really makes it hard to buy.

What do you all think of this lot? Worth the price?

Yeah its always hard to say from what ive seen, prices are a bit all over the place! God, its bad enough finding missing bits for regular sets, let alone very rare exclusives!!

Yeah, its a tough price to swallow anyways with them being clear plastic! As for the lot, its hard to say as I cant make out whats complete and whats not, personally id pass, there is a set of proto carry eagle, proto build giraffe and black air leon on there for £20 that im eyeing up though!

Oh dang I’ve been eyeing that one too. It looks like an awesome set, and somehow the black air leon makes the general 3 combo look even cooler.

Turbo animal force is dope. it's such a unique set. Prolly my favorite of the engine guys, but that's not hard when Guard Kong and Saga Falcon are the way they are...
