No plans to sell them because they aren't cost effective for me to make for other people. I also never sell my files.

Oh man, I must still be hungover because I thought this was in the Radicons thread the whole time... sorry for the confusion! Duh, that's why I didn't post images here... haha. Happy New Year everyone!

Any idea if he'll be compatible with the existing MP tapes? Or has he been resized?

His cassettes look larger in robot mode, so I imagine they'll be at least a little larger in cassette mode. The Takara cassettes will probably fit but rattle around.

Don't expect FT to do this.

However, I'm hoping against all reasonable hope that Hasbro will release the Netflix Soundwave in a Marvel deco through pulse. Add a Marvel Ratbat as a cassette and we're good.

Very much hoping for changes regarding the look of the exposed knee in the bent configuration.

I really doubt that they would change the knees, or that they would see any reason to. Every Fanstoys figure I own (except Rouge) has knees like that. It's just a Fanstoy thing.

The knees have a very good bend. Takara MP Soundwave wasn't bad. I liked the multi tape gimmick. But I never liked how unclean MP Soundwave looked in alt mode. There was no reason for it either. I hope FT does better.

I don't think some people realize that FT is a different scale then TT-MP. They are larger, more hefty, and should be in their own collection ... Or at least imo.

    Any color pics yet?

It's really more that Fanstoys just adheres to scale more than Takara does. Like, MP-10 is supposed to be the baseline, and Fanstoys figures all scale perfectly with that (at least as perfectly as is possible for the G1 toon). Like you can tell they pored over the scale chart and cross referenced it with how big characters most often looked in the cartoon. Whereas Takara is much more of a crapshoot. Like, Fanstoys Hot Rod and Arcee both scale better with MP Magnus, Optimus Prime, and Rodimus Prime than MP Hot Rod and Arcee do. Fanstoys Grimlock is the closest to being in scale with MP Prime out of all the current options. And I expect their new Soundwave figure will look awesome next to MP-36 and MP-52.

Here's hoping. I think FT are a larger scale and heavier build, I own them & they trump TTs line with that. But yeah they definitely adhere to scale. I think this year the epidemic & the not availability yet made FT a more forbidden thing. Before they were easy to find & always pretty inexpensive for the quality. But that's other parties for ya, eh? ;)

idk if I'm kinda crazy or something but I was looking at these renders again after a long time, comparing them with NewAge Scaramanga's tapes, and... I kind of feel like these tapes aren't as good as you'd expect from FansToys? their bot modes don't look particularly clean. I'm almost wondering if when they decided to restart the Soundwave portion of Acoustic Wave from scratch they didn't do the same for the tapes. but again, maybe I'm just seeing things.

Rumble/Frenzy and Lazorbeak/Buzzsaw look flawless to me. Ravage is the only that I could understand complaints about, but he's still better than the Takara version and looks fine in a basic neutral pose (which is really what Fanstoys is primarily designed for, anyway).

I think the birds and dudes are great but Ravage could, and should, be better. To this day the only truly great Ravage is MMC's.

Well it's apples and oranges in a sense. Yeah they are both Ravages, but one is quite a bit bigger than the other, and MMC's Ravage does not fit into Soundwave's chest. I think Takara's Ravage is very well done too for the size, and FT is competing against Takara, not MMC.

I like this Ravage. It has bulk on the sides next to the front legs and the back has bulk too. The open gap up top is the only thing that to me could be considered unsightly, but considering its size, I don't know how complex this guy can really be. I also love that the missiles are able to pivot. The second pic of him looks great to me.

That knee almost looks incomplete though... like it's just working through the engineering or something. I'd imagine the actual joint part would have some mechanical detailing at least have some beveled edges so if they want that 'block' look it would look like an actual mechanical part.

Of course it doesn't matter anyway because I'm still going to have to order this within milliseconds of the preorder announcement to get one for less than $500, as will all the rest of you. LOL
