Unfortunately I can't quite tell due to the angle of the images I have, could go either way as the second set of wings were smaller.

He comes with his stinger blaster, and only has 1 insect leg attached to his robot arms, with 2 attached to each leg.

He looks pretty good, and I'll definitely pick him up, especially with how hard it is to find the T30 version.

Do the insect legs on his arms appear to be the same length as T30, or do they shorten in robot mode somehow?

That's an interesting design change. I wonder why they swapped the number of insect legs around? Another thing is IIRC on BA's box art where you see Waspinator, Dinobot, and Scorponok. Waspinator has two insect legs on his robot arm. Not one.

They don't appear to, but I agree that would be nice, maybe once he's revealed we can confirm :)

Ah, fairplay for a Chinese platform.
Might get my mother-in law to help then.
    Thanks mate :)

Wonder if the box artist used the old T30 figure as a model? One leg on the robot arms is more accurate to the show right?

(Speaking of show accuracy I wonder if Hasbro figured a way to hide the insect legs round the back of the robot legs - as that'd be awesome!)

Cheers. Looking forward to seeing him revealed in a few months.

It'd indeed be terrific if they found a way to hide the other legs somehow.
The show model has 2, but they're small and sit close together so it's hard to see sometimes.

Oh, your mother-in-law knows Mandarin Chinese. Interesting.
Though, I wonder whether it will come with SS86 Kup's dismantlability (which is apparently a real word).

Though, when it comes to Slammer, from the prototype shots, does it look like a combination of the Siege Brunt mold and the Earthrise Decepticon Airwave mold? Or what? Or does it transform like this?: The Back of the Tank-Mode becomes the legs, the front of the Tank becomes the Arms, the Base of the Turret becomes a chestplate (ala Paleotrex), and the Torso is under the Turret. Is this an approximate description of the Parts-formation?

It looks like the legs and torso became the base of the tank.
The treads detach to form the radical chainsaw/shield weapon so they just get plugged in at the bottom in tank mode.
Arms become the turret, and the tank cannon barrel is either removable, or attached to one of the arms as a sweet fusion cannon.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if he can almost transform without any parts-forming apart from the tank treads and cannon (which as his primary weapons almost doesn't count anyway)

(Yes MIL can read Mandarin, speak Cantonese, Haka and a couple other dialects as well as Bahasa Melayu)

Interesting. Anyways, Siege Cog was similar. You just detach the arms, plug them back on, and attach Gasket and Gromit (I know it's more complicated than that, but anyways, it's fairly contained). But, the treads becoming a Chainsaw Shield sounds at least somewhat similar to the Gashacon Bugvisor from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid.

It attaches to the arm and is used as a chainsaw.
    Anyways, Chainsaw-shield sounds cool.

Though, I wonder what if someone could combine Generations Selects Powerdasher Zetar, Earthrise Ironworks, Earthrise Decepticon Airwave, and a Fossilizer into a museum and excavator combination. And I also wonder whether they will release the Bayverse Mini Dinobots from the Fossilizers.

What are the chances he would look like a BW version of Bumblebee?

Non, because Bumblebee and Waspinator are completely different characters with different bodies (unless Waspinator gets repainted as Bumblebee since he doesn't have a BW version).

Sorry to sound like a broken record. Though, I really want some more Fossilizers, heck, maybe more of both Weaponizers and Modulators as well. And also, maybe, in the future of the Weaponizer Gimmick, Hasbro and Takara could update the Powered Buggy from the Toy which would be rereleased as Ultra Magnus.
Unless it's some exclusive with extensive remolding, not very likely.

Well there is a minor chance they could, the Fox Kids recolors of Waspy(Waspinator (Fox Kids) - Transformers Toys - TFW2005) was yellow and they could turn that into a sorta homage to it and Bee? A stretch but I liked some of the recolors they did.

True, but the original question was whether Waspinator would look like BW Bee, not if he coul be repainted.

In animated they did share a design at one point, which is possibly where part of the thought came from?

Yup, Bumblebee was never a part of BW. In Animated Bee and Wasp shared a look, minus the colors, when they were on Cybertron. That is where the idea came from. I was just pointing out that there was already an existing repaint of Wasp that used Bee's primary color that could now be turned into a homage to two different things possibly.
