I’m hoping we get confirmation that a Gen Selects G1 toy-colored Galvatron is going to happen. I have Kingdom Galvatron on preorder, but I’m seriously considering waiting for the rumored Gen Selects version instead.

I got G1 Galvatron as a kid in ‘86. Still have him, and his original packaging, though it’s kinda beat-up and covered in dust (the box, not the toy). It’d be great to clean it up and display it along side this new, rumored Galvatron with the same paint-scheme.

Oh. Cool! I thought it was just a rumor and not something that was for-sure.

it is, in that it hasn't been officially announced, but I think like 95+% of those leaks have come to pass (Seems like we're about due for the next wave of Selects to be announced)

I don't know what to do about that one... love Artfire, have the United version, the rumor was this one won't come with a Targetmaster.

Don't love the old Universe mold (the proportions are awful), but do love the way that alt mode scales way better with deluxe cars then the new mold (which has a much better robot mode, but absolutely comically tiny alt mode)

Thinking I'll keep Artfire and Stepper the old molds, but replace Inferno and Grapple with the new ones unless they just knock the deco out of the part.

Since I haven't been loving a lot of the WFC redoes, my go to has been to go with the selects versions since they've been catering to my Diaclone desires (eg. no way I'm replacing Uni Sunstreaker, but I sure did go for Spinout and Cordon)

What I'm doing is using the old universe Nightstick for Kingdom Cyclonus, and Battle in Space Nightstick for Ricochet, Then I'm using Siege Fracas for Scourge and gonna use an unmodified Siege Firedrive with Artfire. Simple solution for the lack of targetmaster and keeps them paired as mold shares with Cyclonus and Scourge's

Yeah, I'm a big fan of his color scheme. I've never seen a white and red firetruck, but it looks really cool in both modes, so this new one should be too. Especially looking forward to it since my Inferno is way sturdier than my Grapple (which kinda sucks since I like Grapple a lot).

He's a lot slender and more athletic as the new one.

Not really. He's still bulky, with an inflated chest and upper arms, but his thighs and lower arms are pitiful, and he resembles a phony bodybuilder instead of an actual, overall built strongman like the Kingdom one. Kingdom Galvatron looks like he could bench press a boeing, TR Galvatron looks like Spongebob when he bought those inflatable anchor arms.

The hell? Then it's not Artfire.

Come on Hasbro, you literally have like four Targetmaster moulds just from Siege.

Honestly there's enough out there to partway and get a bunch of different ones from the existing molds anyway, not like it'd be anything more than a firedrive or caliburst repaint anyway

But still, it'd be something. When your defining characteristic is being a Targetmaster, you gotta be a Targetmaster. (or a something-master at least)

I'm getting a little burnt out of needing DLC for my fucking toys. I think it's damn stupid the actual TM characters can't have their guns, but the Netflix figures can have random TMs packed in with characters they've never interacted with before.

The Netflix figures are also store exclusives that carry a higher price tag, are you saying that's what you want for all targetmasters characters rather than most being pretty easy to get at retail?

I appreciate the idea, however, this sort of purchasing tactic wouldn’t work for me. I have a very stressful full-time job, and my days off are jam-packed. If I buy it, I keep it.
