Meanwhile in the real world, here on the west coast, Ross, TJ Maxx, DD's and Marshall's hasn't had anything noteworthy since last November.

 

I was passing by an Ollie’s about 40 minutes from my house. That Ollie’s is a newer location and way bigger, more stocked, better, and cleaner than the one I normally go to that is near my house. I’ve been to that particular Ollie’s a couple times before.

I saw no Transformers at all. I asked the cashier if they had any transformers over the weekend for the advertised sale. The cashier said that over the weekend before they had opened, a guy was outside waiting and he came in at opening and he bought out their entire stock of dozens of Leader Optimus Prime and Double Dealer.

 

I actually saw OP and DD at my local Ollies two weeks ago, but passed because I already got them for close to this price. Then a friend went a couple days later and said the store was cleaned out, and there were reports of someone going around scooping them up.

While 50% off is a good price for a fan, buying dozens at $20+tax each still seems like A LOT of money to tie up and sit on to wait for the collectible price to go up... Even to resell on eBay at full retail, after fees and shipping you might be making $15-$20 each.

I checked eBay and the average sold/completed auction for a new ER Doubledealer in the last month is $40 USD with shipping. $20 Ollie's ER Doubledealer minus ~$5.00 ebay seller fees and ~$8.00 USPS shipping costs according to the 1.1 lb package weight and the seller will be making a cool $7.00 per sale.

 

You guys wanna see some serious shit, go look up completed eBay listings for Siege Amazon Skywarp, Earthrise Drige & Ramjet, Earthrise Skywarp & Thundercracker, Earthrise Thrust, Ratchet and Paradon Medic, Sentry & accessory pack or Prowl and Ironhide. HOLY FUCK you're looking at over a grand to own all those.

I hope Hasbro eventually makes more to meet demand because JESUS FUCK new toys shouldn't be scalped this hard this soon.
