Landing on Junkion prior to disembarking. They were in 'bot mod. You can see it over their shoulders.

I'd prefer to keep the tail sculpt clean myself, but that's a minor issue.

Never said it would work for Transformers. It's a dump idea regardless of what toy with moving parts. RKillian said this was done for MOTU Classics, which it was, and was solely what my response was to.

The Dinobots (minus Snarl) were also in bot mode in the shuttle before attacking Devastator too.

Snarl will undoubtedly be in the trilogy after the WFCT since he was in the movie for only like .5 seconds. Sludge though? He could be in that or SS86 with Slag, Grimlock, and Swoop.

And how much screen time did Thundercracker get in Dark of the Moon? Especially considering the toy his body is based on wouldn't get made till 2 movies later.

    ...?

I'm not sure what this has to do with my statement.

You said you don't think Snarl will be in SS86 because he was barely in the movie, but Thundercracker wasn't even in Dark of the Moon yet still git a Studio Series fogure

...and I still think that Snarl won't be in SS86. So what?

So my point is that even being in a movie isn't a hardline requirement for Studio Series, they've done several blink and miss them characters as well, so he's just as likely to be SS86 as any other character that hasn't released yet

They said in the interview that not finishing teams was leaving money on the table. It may take 2 years to finish these guys, but they're definately ready to take the money.

orangeitis isn't saying Snarl won't get done, just that they don't think it'll be in SS86 because he was barely in the movie, despite us already getting characters that were barely in movies in Studio Series proper plus one that wasn't even in the movies

Your reasoning for it holds no water, though. Snarl was in the movie, which already gives him more credibility for the SS line than Thundercracker, who still got a toy.

If they're planning on continuing Studio Series for years to come I'm sure that they'll fill in some of the leader class spots with the remaining 86 Dinobots. There's not a huge amount of "leader class" movie characters left so I have no doubt that Snarl will be in SS as opposed to the standard Generations line.

I agree. Hasbro seems to be splitting up when similar characters are on the shelves and in what packaging, so I think it's like as not that Snarl could be in WFC4/WFC5 (until the new trilogy gets a name, we're going to have to live with the nomenclature) around the same time or after Sludge is in SS86. There are few enough leader spots per subline that mixing and matching seems smart.

Truth be told, I don't care what line they're released under as long as they're released.

This is the correct outlook; once that box is thrown away its all just CHUG. Other than some Thrilling 30 stuff I cant remember what any of the previous figures came from what subline.

Finally getting a chance to comment on the figure.
Honestly- I like it! I’ll be holding out for a while to see if they do a toy redeco, but overall I think I’ll be getting it.

I'd personally dig it if they released Sludge after Slag so we get the 'original trio' as they were presented in the show while we wait for the remaining two. If nothing else, it would just be fun little deep cut wink.

But all in all I don't really care in what order they release the rest - just as long the rest ALL happen. I'm still happily wrapping my head around the fact that we're finally getting Dinobots that look THIS amazing and are THIS big in the first place, let alone in a main line. Between the Titan sized sets of Constructions & Predacons that all look remarkably toon accurate, the first ever screen accurate modeled SKYfire and a 2-foot tall Omega Supreme, the Dinobots finally getting their due here is pretty much the last check box of all my favorite characters getting figures in the sizes they always deserved that I've wanted since the 80's. Never thought it would happen... but here we are. :)
