I went through the same issue. I filed the little tabs holding up the collar and it folded.

 

Anybody know where I could get a tiny little predacon logo for the head crest?

 

I wonder if it's possible to make a tiny suggestion to the factory to make a tiny change to one small part that would immediately help make the rear panels close better and tighter. The part already exists. They just need to extend the clip and the tab out a tiny bit and they could lock in better allowing a better closed dino mode.

 

I had go buy it a second time, after the first was missing parts AND broke thr shoulder for being too stiff. Second one is perfect

 

Guys!!!! I think I discovered the reason why the panels don't stay together!!!



When you watch people transform the official one, it's from T.rex mode to robot mode so the area I circled isn't mentioned. When you watch people transform from robot mode to T.rex, they never mention this tab that locks together for the top panels either. Once you lock it, it becomes really hard for the top panels to become undone! That said, they seem kind of tricky to get locked together when transforming. I'm going to try tranforming it, then sliding the body panels on to see if it'll work.

That said, I think the design still makes tabbing and untabbing a pain. You have to slide the wide end of the tab from either the top or the bottom into the slot. You can't just push them to lock in. Maybe if the shape is changed a little, you can easily snap them together by pushing on them. Right now I'm going to keep the shape and slide the T.rex body in after I transformed the main robot to see if it works. The blue plastic holding them together is small and is screwed in! If someone at the factory could create new replacements, this could be sent to people who are having trouble keeping the body together to replace! Or maybe someone with 3D printing skills could create it.

Edit - after fiddling with it for 30 minutes, it's impossible to slide it in towards the end of the transformation. Another tab sticking out prevents the body panels to slide in properly. I was forced to do it the normal way, but it was very hard to align the tab with the slot. Maybe if they were ever so slightly longer, it would be easier. I took it off and tried again, and I might have angled it wrong. Either way, I think a slight redesign could allow it to be clipped together instead of sliding in would have a lot.

 

Mine finally arrived today. I had almost forgotten about it since I had preordered it July of last year. Very pleased with him. A few minor issues; the alternate heads needed a bit of plastic trimmed down to fit on. So did the tabs on his hip pieces. They eventually snapped into place once done. I also snapped a part of the lip for attaching the tail to his arm. That was my fault and not the figure and I had it mounted on wrong while attempting to transform. The T-Rex eyes are also a bit loose, rolling around on their own when moved. Other then that, they did a killer job on it and I am very pleased with him. Just need to hunt down a Dinobot at a good price now and I'll have all the MP BW to date.

 

So my guy's right shoulder (the one linked to the dino head) is loose as heck, with or without the little spike lock in place. Any advice for tightening it up? Otherwise, I have the usual KO issues (can't ever 100% tab in the dino mode panels).

Got mine today from iacon store, still havnt transformed it yet, wasnt supposed to be some diecast on him? Or did i misread?

 

Probably better to just email whoever sold you the figure. If it's ShowZ, they will probably replace it.

The heel is diecast. Other parts might be internal.

Yep, the part of the shoulder that fits the chest came without a screw and because of that it broke when moved.
So now I have a no arm no leg megatron .

It’s a incredible figure and it’s like the show. If you can put in one place without moving or transforming buy it, but if you are like me and you want to transform many times or put in different positions... it is a risk with this figure.

Finally picked this up second hand from eBay and got a great deal. But I'm curious is there anywhere selling the faction symbol for this figure to go on the forehead? I think I need the same for my KO dinobot lol

 

Planning on getting megatron ko soon any other reports of breakage

 

My super minor thing to report is part of the little clip that attaches the tail/sword to the left forearm. So, it still attaches, but it’s a very tenuous connection!

 

Just got my version 2 today... It's definitely better than the first release.

 

There’s a version 2? Any quick way of distinguishing from version 1? I’m thinking those retailers who have it in stock for 2021 are the version 2?
