Inspect the diecast knee parts to see if they have the embossed "L" and "R" on their respective sides. Otherwise, you're going to have a leg that will never straighten out fully.

Thumbs are tight, but just hold the joint near the base and manipulate firmly. You could just leave them tucked down against the ball of the fist, where they fit for transformation, but it'll look a bit silly when posed in robot mode.

 

Hmmm. Can't find the marks. Legs seem okay though.

Surprisingly reasonable to transform. Wish hr was a little bigger but otherwise solid

 

Looks like he was up again on BBTS around 6am eastern. Are they just getting 1 or 2 of these in randomly at a time?

If you bend the lower knee joint all the way back, you can see the lettering on the outside face of the diecast pieces.

If the legs on yours are straight though, then you should be good.

 

I'm having trouble getting the booster section tabbed in for ROBOT mode. I can kinda hang it back there, but it's really just hanging and falls lose at the slightest disturbance.

Still can't find the marks on the legs, but they match each other and everything seems to line up for alt modes, so they're either both right or both wrong.

I thought I had a pre-order in for the blitzwing. Did TFS nuke all their FT pres? I'm not seeing it anywhere now.

 

For robot mode, make sure the shell is clipped in at the top. Where the backplate is widest at the top, the booster shell clips over that.

Can someone post a pic of how that backpack is meant to attach? The only attachment points I see are right at the top and those don't hold worth a crap

 

The backpack attaches very securely.



Circled there are your main attachment points, on either side. The backpack shell has to flex a little bit to fit over them, but the backpack ain't going anywhere once everything's slotted together. There's a third tab underneath the main thruster, but that mostly just keeps everything squared up, and won't do much unless the tabs at top are connected.

I'm really enjoying this guy. I'm normally pretty hard on fans toys but this is a solid release all round except for the fact that they only made 17 of them.

If I could change anything it would be the way the thighs collapse. They're super tight on mine and it feels like I'm really stressing the plastic to muscle those metal joint around.

 

Shoulder thing... oops, forgot to rotate them up when I transformed him that time. Guess it worked out for the better, though  .

 

I opened up the inner legs and loosened the screws on those joints on mine. And worked them back and forth a few times each to loosen them. Easy to do and made a big difference. And I was able to verify that my copy hd the correct knees.

 

I was debating buyin this guy off a friend. Is it worth owning? IT a good bot? Any issue with it?

 

I finally sprang for him at ShowZ's outrageous price. Still salty that my pre-order fell through, and $320 is insane but he looks really good and he's one of the last two I need to finish my collection (also need Perceptor which I'll probably pay through the nose for as well since all the pre-orders are sold out).

What's the best video for transformation? It's coming from China so I've got some time but I'd like to start familiarizing myself with it beforehand.

 

Is the best Astrotrain in the market so far, but it has some QC issues (knee assembly) and questionable design choices (chest screw sliders) and finally: it is fucking expensive.

 

Whether it's the best video is debatable but emgo has a JTI for him. It's what I eventually used to transform mine.
