The silver is abit more vibrant over all but that's just my opinion.

The rims were painted on the one I saw instead of that flat grey color the Dotm rims had.

The windows looked darker again to me and I think the interior of the car was painted as well

I don't know unfortunately but seeing as he used guns in the egypt battle it wouldn't surprise me if they Repainted his guns from the Dotm version and Repacked it in the Rotf version.

Hey @Sayan Rahman, the price for the KO Dragoon is $90.
Yup, we're on the same page lol.

But this definitely helps!! I typically prefer for my paints to be visible just from the first few strokes of the brush. That said, I wouldn't mind putting in some more work for better results, so I'm good with that.

Thank you very much for your input!! :)
Wow!! I have to be honest, this is more than I expected. I'm just used to grabbing my cheap FolkArt bottles waves giving them a good shake lol.

But seriously, I have sooo much more respect for what you, @erwinsims, @NemesisJazz, @CamaroBee, and others do!!! I do things the fast and easy way, and don't even wash my figs bfr painting.

I'm definitely gonna take some time and do some homework.

Thank you so much for going into such detail, it really helps understand the process better!! I really appreciate it!!

May i chime in as well, i use vallejo acrylics. In my experience it has almost no smell and can work with water for easy mixing/thinning/clean up. The mr color stuff gives me headaches. There is a wide range of colors and metallics, and if thinned enough, will level the brush strokes out. The primer can also be brushed on. If you are painting panels of the vehicle mode, i recommend airbrushing to achieve the cleanest job.

I don't use any primer or washing of figures either. Just give a jolly good shake of the pot before starting. There's so many advanced techniques i haven't tried. Mad respect for those who do the super awesome details, super realistic weather paint jobs.

Love Ss Blackout. Such an awesome figure. Only issues i have is lack of wrist swivels (got shockwave lab hands on and they do make a huge difference) and the paint on his radome keeps getting scraped off when he goes to robot mode. I don't know why but it seems there's some plastic in his chest that keeps catching on the dome, even after i repaint it.

    Had a few!

I'm really liking this bug! Fixed the inner and outer shin panels the day I got him. Very snug!

Hey man did you use future floor polish or clear nail polish to fix them? Been thinking of using something for my newly acquired Cliff and later B127 when I find him.

Can confirm, mine has the stress marks. They're barely visible, but they are there.

I'm really glad I pulled Blackout out though because it is SUCH a good figure. I'll echo the complaint about the hands, but this figure is just gorgeous in both modes.

While we're talking about what paints we use, I primarily use Testor's enamels although I've started to branch out into Decoart acrylics more recently. I'd like to try out some of the brands you guys mentioned, like Tamiya and Vallejo.

Many thanks to @savio-prime for hooking me up with these!! 20210419_171843.jpg 20210419_231141.jpg
Such a small detail has really made me like him. Too bad my son took ownership of him lol.

    Thanks again Savio!!
I've never heard of that brand of paint bfr. But I'll def look into it though!! I know I'm gonna sound like a complete dumbass here, but hell.. is the clear liquid that's included with the Testors paints the thinner?

I just started buying paints one day, and went to town on my figs, so I have 0 knowledge on these things lol.

Aside from the $45 Testors airbrushing kit, I have no experience with airbrushing. I would love to get myself a professional kit, but I need more space first.
Yea, I'm gonna have to step my game up lol. I need to do some serious research on this!!
Well, I tried to talk wifey into actually wanting it for herself, but she didn't want it. So I'm passing on it. She recently got the Lavender Cyclion, so she's been pretty entertained with her.
