It felt like his mentality was a lot "main series focuses on PLOT and Spotlights focuses on CHARACTER", i wouldn´t say the -ation series was exactly bad but much of the time it seems there was a lot of stuff happening without having many characters for me to care about, which is what Furman did better(though by no means excellent, im not a fan of all his Spotlight issues, case in point Hot Rod´s)in Spotlight, it´s like he was crippling himself for no reason

 

Plot is for conveying a message or addressing themes. I would have loved if Not-RiD had either. But near as I could figure, the closest thing to a theme it had was just how stupid-hard cooperation is. Which in turn makes those moments when they DO achieve it matter.. except Barber usually inserted an element that invalidated the cooperation shortly thereafter. It's cheap comic book baiting, and due to how universally loathed the book is, I think it's safe to say it didn't work.

I suppose so, then again the majority ain´t always reflective of the quality,
but, i also don´t expect anything good IDW after AHM wrecked the rails so it wouldn´t surprise me if Not-RiD sucked hard

This is going to negatively impact sales of IDW’s entire line. People are going to find it difficult to purchase comics from a company that tacitly condones her behavior. Real dumb move, IDW.

Yes, out of the things wrong with IDW, losing millions of dollars is pretty much just as bad as a 22 page thread on a forum such as this.   Hopefully they take notice!!

Enough people are still reading to have the ongoing reach issue 28, including more mini-series and annuals.

I'd say they still have an audience.

 

Play their cards wrong and idw will find that it won’t save their already tethering company.

 

I think we might be overestimating the impact a single comic books sales are going to have on making a difference to IDW’s future.  

 

People have been saying for years that IDW will fail and bankrupt. I'll wait until someone at IDW actually says something over some dude on the boards before believing it.
