With there being threads for Air and Naval warfare, why not have a thread for armored vehicles too?

I’ll admit I know more about warships then I do things like tanks, but I find them fascinating.

All armored vehicles from any era are fair game.

Heres a gif of the M1150. Look at that thing go.

I just love big, beefy, thicc armored vehicles. The Lenco BearCat is pretty heavy duty, like a high speed tank. D:

I've been a big fan of tanks since early childhood years in Europe - also thanks to grandfather's WW2 war time stories. Although, I am not very interested in Modern and Cold War era stuff.

This interest manifested itself into drawings, early scale model building and going to European WW2 museums. During those years my preference was of course biased due to limited exposure (even though grandfather's WW2 books contained quite a lot of info & pictures) - so I liked the Allied stuff better. Nowadays with the internet and videogames like World of Tanks my preference has shifted a bit.

So my all time favorite is probably the German Jagdpanzer IV, also known in its top configuration as Panzer IV/70 (V) Lange.
This was an extremely sleek low profile tank hunter. For a "sniper" like this one, concealment is EVERYTHING.

Great informative video's on the Jagdpanzer IV from actual top historians like Nicolas Moran Hilary Doyle:

These vehicles are probably fun to own.. until everyone who sees it either says "look a tank" or "what jeep is that?"

Look at this beast. A Russian mine-clearing tank.

I just adore these big bulky war machines that look like a fortress on wheels or treads. :lolol

Still the coolest armoured vehicle ever:
    camaro1.jpg

Ghost Car: a 1979 Camaro that was used in Bosnian war

Antiradar paint, bulletresistant plating, nitros oxide, runflat tires

Used to deliver supplies to civilians during the Bosnian war because no other vehicle was capable of doing it.

This is definitely the coolest thing in this thread. Look at that turret move; the automatic loading sequence is like butter.
