Yes, although it has been years since the first devastation came out so even if we did get them to start making another game, it would be a couple of years before they brought it out.

I'd like to see a sequel. G1 characters of course.

At this point I'd even just take like, an updated game or a Switch port with Prowl as a playable character

It's a shame the Insecticons didn't have any actual voice dialogue. I would have liked to hear Michael Bell reprise his role as Bombshell. It would have been the 3rd voice in the game after Sideswipe and Scrapper.

Everytime I see this thread updated I get excited over something happening. At this point I'd even just take a Switch port :(

I could see it happening if PlatinumGames/Activision gets the license again, as well as remasters of the original. Marvel, for example, will sometimes come back to a old license holder from time to time like with the "Marvel VS Capcom" series, and now with "Ultimate Alliance 3", so there's at least a small chance for Devastation.

the fact that we don't hear anything about devastation 2 from A team and B team means it's never gonna happen....

That is brilliant. I really wish this game had a sequel, daft you can't even buy the console games anymore, I was lucky to get this on ps4. Really want someone to make MP figures of the ground soldiers.

Yeah, the only way to get this game now is on physical disk. The digital download version and digital dlc alternate colors skins pack has been unavailable for about 2 years now. There is no longer any option to get the alternate colors skins pack.

The vocal performances in this game are quite good.

Just finished Magnus difficulty without using auto repair kits. Man my thumbs hurt :)

I’m not blowing my own trumpet - it’s taken me about two years of trying on and off. Now it’s prime time.

The combat system has huge depth which you really need to master to beat magnus. Some elements remind me of Tekken in a way. This isn’t the button masher some people think it is. It’s nothing short of superb. It has highly polished presentation, large replay value and I don’t think there’s a better TF game out there.

It’s unlikely but I’d absolutely love a follow-up to this game.

One of the issues I had was the sameness that the environments had. It was mainly just city and spaceship, right? It would be cool to have more variety in a future installment.

    Are they?

It feels cheesy and stilted, like an actual episode of G1. Which I guess is the point, but the problem with these "intentionally outdated" throwback games where they make everything look goofy and dumb because the original was is, well, everything's goofy and dumb and shitty. The voices sound corny, not nostalgic, and unless you just love the G1 cartoon to pieces there's nothing interesting or novel about intentionally poor performances.

I really had no fun playing this game. It was long, stale, and got so boring. You've played the first level you've practically played the whole game, and the combat is so unrewarding. There's very little freedom in attack, one of the most necessary aspects of a beat-em-up, and I can't recall a single enemy that was fun to fight.

Agreed. This game definitely needs a sequel with more playable characters on both teams.

Sadly, not even on the games Radar. The only TF game in the works right now is the one by Certain Affinity. Now there may be a mobile type game out there, but no one really gives a shit about that.

Game wise, we are kinda out of luck, depending on whether the next TF game fails or not will determine what comes next, if something comes next for awhile. Now there is also a chance for a reboot-tie-in-game, but seeing how those have died off and are typically trash, I would highly doubt we are getting anything else for a good while.

I actually really miss when they made movie-tie-in games. It's fun getting two different versions of the same general story, one in video game form. Plus they just gave us video games where there are usually none.

I will forever be salty about video tie in games as it was part of the reason why we never got a true ending to the WFC/FoC Trilogy, besides the whole Deadpool fiasco.

Someone needs to figure a way to host private servers on WFC/FOC as lots of people miss those game
