After watching Emgo's latest video on the super 7 Thundercats booster pack. All I gotta say is thank god I don't take less accurate toon colors seriously otherwise you're just gonna go through such a hassle trying to correct something because of something trivial like color accuracy.

 

If you are going to argue movie accuracy, then the Dinobots shouldn't actually come with any guns, as they never had them in the movie. Yes, they had them in the cartoon, but not in the movie AFAIK.

Because they didn't. So I'm all for the lack of accessories. But I want more accurate, less hollow figures than what they are currently putting out. I know yall are fine with it. But this modern less effort direction of the franchise irks me to no end considering the inflated price points.

There is a video on Youtube from the guy that oversaw Mattel's Masters of the Universe Classics line that stated they saved money by casting everything in the same color then painting it as was mentioned by RKillian. Honestly I don't see how that makes much sense either but if anyone would know it would be him.

No white paint on the bottom protruding section of the helmet. Ruined forever.

 

Slag is painted the right color! It is too accurate Hasbro! Do better!!!! You have to color him to my liking even though its far too late, but you must or other wise no buy!!!!

 

It's a really weird moment, too. Since Grimlock begins the fight by firing lasers out of his fists.
But yeah, while it is incredibly easy to miss (Since not only is it a fast scene, but only Grimlock is clear, while his gun is pitch black in space), their guns are in the movie (Swoop's as well, but the screenshot I took has him obscured and I was too lazy to go frame by frame  )

 

Trying to recall, is this the only time they are in bot mode aside from their brief initial appearance?

I actually really like the gun storage, especially after Grimlocks half quarter-@$$3d storage

 

They're also in bot mode (including Snarl) when the Quintesson ship is landing on Junk

Didn’t remember them in Hot Rod’s ship, but I also just remembered Swoop transforms and reports before they meet wheelie.

 

That's something that would only possibly make sense on He-Man, regardless. He-Man reuses a bunch of parts all the time. Most of them are all the same naked people with different armor on. So it's possible that if you can just run double the amount of naked people, put some different rubber armor on them, and paint them differently, that it MAAAYYYYYYBE runs costs down. But you can't friggin' do that with Slag's fists.

The gold color is really strange on these dinos. Like in pictures, it looks a really good yellowy gold, but in hand, it's kind of a dull gold. Maybe it's the lighting in the room I keep them, but just found it interesting
