9 years ago my license got suspended and I was a 20 year old making really bad decisions with my life. 9 years later, I got my license reinstated and get to take my Driver test Saturday. Until then, I got this baby: 2017 Toyota Corolla My last car was a 1996 Toyota Camry...so this car to me, is the fanciest thing on 4 wheels. For the last 3 days I have been freaking out, trying to make sure every little detail was taken care of and perfect- yet I was still scared SOMETHING would go wrong...but I think I'm in the clear! Its amazing, I never imagined I would be back driving again. I basically ran away from myself for nearly 10 years...if you're young, please don't make the mistakes I did.
Just heard the news that everyone in Ohio, regardless of age, will finally be eligible for vaccination near the end of this month. It’s about time I got mine.
I heard that as well. My girlfriend in particular is very excited to get hers because she hasn't been able to go back to MI to see her family since before the pandemic. Hopefully this means we'll be able to make the trip up sometime soon.
It'll take a while for my country to hit vaccination levels matching the US right now, but I think it's worth celebrating the fact in just a year, the worst of this pandemic's behind us now. I'm pretty grateful for that.
Yay I can walk without assistance again! And I get all shot up on Thursday right in my own building! --Moony
I'm getting my second shot of the vaccine this Friday. It was originally for Sunday but my sister had it changed for earlier.
1. Got my vaccine. Now my arm hurts and I feel warm. Good news is there is no headache but my dad isn't so lucky but we have Aleve for that. The warmness in my body makes me feel relaxed. 2. My Switch joy-cons arrived after being repaired.
My First Nendoroid! And yes, that is a squishy mule toy with an actual company's name that I got as a surprise in my package with the Breeders Cup shirts I ordered. They sponsor the Dirt Mile at the Breeders Cup, and it was a source of great amusement to the Americans and irritation to the Brits the first year they had to say that name during the announcement of the entrants and post positions. XD XD XD And yes, I am a racehorse owner! Of a few hairs, anyway! --Moony
Fully vaccinated now and the IMAX theater near me opens back up next week. Time to catch up on some movies.
If you have a Netflix subscription and have half an hour or so to spare, please check out Pui Pui Molcar, it's the dinkiest, cutest shit I've seen all month.
Standing on the line at work, not much happening, so I have time to stare up the line at this girl who looks bananas in her high-waisted jeans. And it gets me thinking, because when I was first getting into girls in the late '80s-early '90s, high-waisted jeans were tragically uncool, I mean your mom wore high-waisted jeans. And yet, I had a memory of hot girls in high-waisted jeans I saw on TV in the early '80s, back when I first noticed girls looked pretty great, and that memory was associated with Dallas, the prime time soap, which my mom watched and I watched because I was a kid and there were three channels and one TV in the house. So I had to Google the cast of Dallas to see who I might be remembering, and I decided it must be Charlene Tilton, who played Lucy, and indeed I found a couple pictures of her in high-waisted jeans and she did indeed look bangin'. So then I told the guy across from me, who also has little to do so he's also ogling the girl up the line, only he's nineteen so he's never heard of Charlene Tilton and as far as he's concerned, Dallas is just a city and high-waisted jeans have always looked good on good-looking girls. But then I told him she was the one who shot J.R., because I thought no matter how young you are you know about J.R. getting shot. Well, he didn't, and then I started second-guessing myself and had to Google that, and it turns out it was Kristin who shot J.R., not Lucy, so I was wrong about that. But ultimately slow Saturdays on the line are pretty great, and after forty years, high-waisted jeans are pretty great too.
Quitting a hobby not due to being bullied out of it but because one realizes it's not fun anymore and finding that when that hobby is eliminated from what one does I have more energy, I'm happier about things, and I save a lot more money now not collecting Anime because it's gotten to being absurdly priced so since I've quit that my mood has improved and budgeting and managing my finances has been very easy to do so can do things and after getting Vaccinated last month I can enjoy going out to do a few things. Been working on getting my sleeping patterns fixed and may have finally gotten a decent wake up time and a decent time to unplug from things so that's helping with my mood too just need to cut out late nights. More Money saved from making sales after cleaning out a lot of my Anime collection over the past month has made me happier because now when the new Transformers come out won't have to be concerned with having to manage my finances since by the time those figures get in stock at where they are ordered will already have them in the budget for that month and no longer stressed over anything related to this hobby just a matter of talking myself out of doing a lot because of lack of space for new things so I'm at that point in collecting that when the room fills up it's time to sit back and relax and enjoy things. I'm excited about this year's Transformers so I like that Hasbro manages to once again keep me hooked for another series.
