Quite simply, this isn’t for you then. Not everything is meant to cater to everyone in a fandom. It’s ok to not like something.
I find Beast Wars to be repugnant, but I don’t go into Beastwars themed threads and berate the existence of a concept I personally find stupid. I just realize I’m not the target market and move on.

Judging from the presales, there is a huge market for this, and $700 isn’t “too much” for the concept. Lots of people seem to think it’s perfectly reasonable. Saying you don’t “play with your toys” just makes you come across as condescending and an arse. Think before you post.

 

Robosenstore.com does ship outside the US, or at leas they calculated and charged me postage for my UK address and don't specify US only shipping on their listing.

The address listed for Robosen on Robosen.com is a US one, so maybe they are mostly based in the US now. Or, at least part of their company is.

Has anybody else on here ordered through Robosenstore.com?

Re-reading the above, especially the first and final paragraphs of the FAQ, you can read it as saying we are only selling it from the US. They will sell it from the US to anyone who wants one, as long as you are willing to pay international postage and taxes. Nowhere does it state they will not ship it from the US to outside the US. "We only ship in the US." is slightly ambiguous. Yes, it's confusing. We are bumping into a language barrier with them.

I ordered mine to the UK and they charged me $71 postage. That's a lot for postage - but it backs up the above paragraph. And it allowed me to select UK on the form.

They only said the 48 states are "prepaid shipment". Didn't say they don't ship to Alaska or Hawaii.

 

Ummm...I left a comment. People responded and I replied back. You cant "berate" a piece of plastic or metal. Its not alive. It doesnt have feelings to be berated. Also these threads are not elite clubs, they're message boards. Anybody is free to jump on and drop an opinion or reply back to replies and start a conversation. As I said in my original comment, I think its cool. Its clearly not for me though.

When I checked today with the restock it was written quite clearly they were only taking orders to ship to 48 of the States. I paused and missed the chance to try.

When I spoke with them a few nights ago, they said they will not send shipments outside the USA.

 

For those companies that only ship to US you can always use a forwarding company.

I use Stackry when I need something shipped from companies that only deliver to US.

It of course means you might be paying an extra delivery charge ( if Stateside delivery is free. I haven't checked so I don't know.) but if you're willing to fork out $800 for the item itself* I doubt that would stop you.

There's a risk of customs charge too, but you get that regardless of whether it's shipped direct or not.

*Not a criticism. I was tempted myself and if I were in full time work I might well have ordered it.

 

Nothing wrong with that, my friend! Displaying them is really fun too! I admit it makes me sad when they stay in the sealed box, though. But I understand why people do it, and it's cool seeing collections of sealed G1 Transformers now and again. But I bet they wanna be played with...
