hey all, long time lurker. just wanted to post my issues with Fans Hobby NavalCommander

I reported the issues with the cracks on the chest hinges immediately when that opened up, and only just noticed this morning that I also had the finger cracking issue and the combined mode shoulder issues, so I sent an email out to them asking for the replacement parts for those too. Plus, to top it all off, I was just transforming the super mode legs back to trailer mode 10 minutes ago, and the waist panel just snapped right off the hinge. Needless to say I am not very happy right now. Anyone else have this new issue?

 

That one's a first but it makes sense, given the plastic looks to br the same as the problematic core waist.

 

Wow that is a new one. And being on the trailer, that’s worrying. They only (so far) have options to replace the core bot. I’ll have to take a look at my trailer.

 

They do have individual options though, for people who have had non-standard problems

 

Does Toyhax have a set of labels for this?

 

They have not no. Although I wounded what they would do for Naval Commander.

 

Yikes that is the first I've seen on the forum too. Contact Fans Hobby and I 'm pretty sure they'll help you with a replaced part. If it is from faulty plastic they might even do it for free shipping. That said I broke something that is my own fault and they're only charging me shipping which is $7 from Hong Kong so not too bad.

 

I just checked my copy and I have the crack too, I would have completely missed this. I don’t even want to check my other two but I’m gonna have to.

This is really annoying actually. What a shame. I’ve contacted Fans Hobby to see what can be done about it and I’ll update here when they get back to me.

 

I will have to check mine but it most probably has the issue too.

It's odd that is is only happening now when the issues with the core bot were seen nearly immediately after people got them.

I can already see FH's reaction if they hear about this.

I swear Armada's cursed.

Takara Armada Prime? Put on hold indefinitely.

Fans Hobby's Armada Prime? Rush to release before Chinese new years causes poor quality when the rest of their recent releases are well made.

Armada in the next toyline? Has to share with BW and Prime for around 40%-50% of it.

Are the replacement parts for the core bot at least solid?

 

Don't worry guys, FH said the 3rd batch will fix the trailer too!
What a disaster.

 

I just got mine yesterday. It is from the first batch so I have a bunch of cracks in the cab like everyone else, but messing around with this figure is amazing and reminds me of when I was a kid playing with the actual toy and how much fun I had. So IMO it's a treat figure despite the flaws (I am aware that this is mostly nostalgia speaking)

 

Well, let's look at this. That looks like the same blue as the waist pieces that needed fixed on the core bot. Chances are, they run on the same sprue or set of sprues, maybe it'll be fixed on the second run?

 

That's what I hope, seeing as Fans Hobby said the plastic that they're using for the replacement parts are what the second batch will have, and I doubt they made a shit tone of trailers separately before then.

 

Oh yeah they're damn solid so far ☺️

 

Then that gives me hope that the second batch will be well made for both bot and trailer.
