If he's going to continue doing Astartes then I need mah Grey Knight, complete with Nemesis Force Halberd

and mah Space Wolf, preferably with some Lightning Claws

And if we're talking bafs or deluxe figures I gotta have me an articulated Dreadnought..

I’m in the UK, where I think a couple of places have pre orders (mine’s with comics and cocktails, who seem to get the various Mcfarlane store exclusives). Not sure about stateside. Yeah, I feel like they had fun ‘deluxeing’ the mood up for this one!

Imagine the nid options at the mega figure (or whatever that movie darkseid price point is) level...

I received my Kickstarter Spawn yesterday. I’m underwhelmed. It’s beautiful but with the cape and neck hindering any real movement it’s more of a statue than a figure. Paint and sculpting is fantastic but it can barely move. I wish the extravagant packaging budget went into the figure.

    Tyranids.
    1. Genestealer Cult- worship the "All Father", which is basically a bigger Genestealer (they're normallyhuman-sized).
    2. Lictor- the assassin of the army. They're quite tall, probably around 12-feet or so, chameleon-like skin and are super scary in-game.
    3. Hive Tyrant- Force commander, around 20-feet tall.

Pfft. We've already gotten a Smurf and a Blood Angel. All I need now is a Space Wolf, a Dark Angel, and a Black Templar for that extra bit 'o zealotry and I can paint them black and I've got my own Deathwatch Kill Team. And then it's "Suffer not the alien to live!" time ;)

All of this just underscores the fact that I'm really hoping Todd goes deep into this.. like, there is just so much lore and content he can draw from. Hell I'd be happy troop-building some Cadian shock troops!

Tyranids would be big to huge figures and cost at least $50 to $75 each if made right.

I’d love some cadians! Imperial guard in general is right up there for me, wants wise.

And I'd buy them all, even though I am fully accepting that this would be a pipe dream.

Genestealers, the most obvious possibility for the McFarlane line, would be around the size of the Marine and in the $20 range.

Holy carp, my custom Spawn cape showed up today out of nowhere.
I wasn't expecting it so soon (~15 days) and hadn't shipped my BBTS Spawn yet.

Now I'mma have to wait ~2 weeks to try it out, which is a lot easier when you're not holding the cape in hand.
The chain accessory is primo, too. And surprisingly weighty.

Must have been hell to craft that.

    Worth every penny.

So, going the route of letting buyers paint according to their desires... not a bad move.
    20210415_145330.jpg
Just don't know when I'll set the time aside to actually paint the two... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Target also had 11 mandarin spawn...

...and these dune fellas at 50% off
    20210415_200716.jpg
(I guess movie delays did them no favors at all!)

(But I think I'll hold off for the 70% off mark)
