Yeah, there was an email that went out from BBTS about it and it was posted here on TFW either in the McFarlane thread or this thread. I've also seen it posted across Facebook too. So, yeah, email notifications were sent out.
Looks like Red Hood will be a separate release from the box set. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081J93BMQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_8EX8XEVDMPA68T6ZH8CC
Not really new info. He's been available as a single release for a couple of months now. Might be the first time he's been listed on Amazon though as I recall he was originally a Target exclusive (I got my copy from their website) and then he started showing up at Walgreens in store too.
Guessing it was a timed exclusive but it was hard to tell if it was for Target, Walgreens or Walmart 1st.
Yeah, the whole release of the single-packed version of Red Hood has been the weirdest cluster fuck. Was it showing up at Wal-Mart too? Didn't know that.
It's basically a quantum mechanical exclusive release. It is an exclusive release everywhere and nowhere.
I’m not sure, I remember trying to figure out where it would land months back but once Todd named 1 store, it would show up in a different one. If it’s a timed exclusive, at least all stores get it eventually. Though I hope this isn’t a bait and switch like what happened with BBTS and Flashpoint Bats...as there is an unmasked Red Hood on the way.

Had a nice evening doing some articulation mods. I’d love if they had better range out of the box, but it is fun tinkering with em. The asylum head is just sitting there unattached at the mo - it didn’t fit the 1000 post so modelled a new neck joint up in 3D and just waiting for it to arrive. Fingers crossed it does the job. Think I might swap in the oval from the blue 1000 bats to make a sort of btas look.
Redrum2581 posted these in the McFarlane thread. They show how to add more neck and ab articulation as well as thigh cuts. It's so easy idk why McFarlane doesn't do this.
Yep, took a load before assembling the 1000! The pics relate to the mods below: - shaved the underarm and pec to give better range (should have tried to score the hatching pattern back on, but didn’t bother). Also trimmed his ‘extra’ abs on the upper torso. - cut a channel for the ball joint posts on the belly part. I also trimmed some other non visible bits hoping it would improve range on the upper torso, but it didn’t make any difference. - trimmed the bottom of the hip piece (and the lower pegs that come off it) - other than the head, the biggest problem I had with the 1000 body was the long torso. This basically moves his undies up to shorten the torso. - On the undies themselves I also trimmed the channels for the hip piece. Also trimmed the front of them around the legs to allow more range. Then (and this sounds trickier than it was) I separated the belt from the undies for the front 200 ish degrees (so it’s still attached towards the back), so when he crunches, the belt ‘collapses’. I cut up at an angle so it doesn’t show (bit hard to describe). - notched the neck cup so he can look up further. 1000 bats had good enough thigh swivel for me, but on other figs I’ve trimmed the ‘butt’ at the back of the upper legs to give more range there. Sounds like a lot of work, but was only about an hour, and I’m not an experienced customiser. Just used a hobby knife (I don’t have a dremel) and a hairdryer.
Yeah, those are the ones. The Mcfarlane figures are so beefy, plastic wise, it feels really easy to chop them about. Their space marine really rewards modding like this.
