The GDC thing you mentioned and the E3, also yeah the Hasbro Pulse and the XP Game Developer Summit are also a thing this week sooo yeah maybe

 

It's been awhile since they have responded to one of "our" tweets, but here it is. Hard to say whether this is a prep for something soon. Now, I don't think this is leading to something in the immediate near future, i.e. Pulse and summit, as they probably would have used a little bit different language to hint at something. Most likely this is just them telling us to be patient as they most likely already have a marketing day picked out and are under contract and can't say anything till then. But like I said, the language they use makes it sound like something they will reveal at a later date, hopefully in a few months.

If it was, someone would have found out that it was. It's a popular franchise that had some money behind it, so if it was about to drop off the face of the earth, investors would want an answer why and most likely someone would leak it being cancelled.

I honestly don't get everyone's impatience with games recently, people bitch and moan that they want games, which forces developers to rush development and give us a half assed game. Covid severely impacted every gaming studio and sadly all we can do is wait and be patient. I am also not one bit surprised at all that they are taking their time, as studios are finally starting to see people won't put up with half assed games and are pushing back, so a lot of studios are delaying games so they don't get that hate and fix their broken games.

Just from seeing most games being recently released, and seeing this game was supposedly in development for a few years now, it was most likely developed for last gen and they will probably base it for last gen and then hopefully give a next gen upgrade. Regardless, it will run exponentially smoother solely because of the better hardware.

 

Another reply and this time they mentioned to check their website, as some leaks have come from there. Been watching their feed for awhile and typically they don't respond or acknowledge the tweets about TF, but seeing how this is another one shortly after the other one, hopefully they are getting ready to start announcing stuff. Also, they are putting up a lot of job postings, so hopefully we can some info there. But then again, it'll probably be awhile till we get something.

 

Super sorry if this has been answered already, but is this the same Transformers Online game that was cancelled Febuary last year?

 

The one you’re talking about was developed by Tencent Games. This title will be handled by Certain Affinity and published by Leyou Technologies.

 

Ah alright. Does anybody have the files to the old Transformers Online? I really want to see the game, even if i cant play it...

 

I don’t unfortunately. But you can find many gameplay videos on YouTube. It wasn’t anything more than an Overwatch clone. In my opinion, the game’s greatest appeal was in some of it’s character designs.

 

Not Transformers related and I'm sorry if this is not allowed but it seems that Leyou and Amazon have had a bit of a disagreement. Do you think this will affect the development of Transformers Online?

Considering Amazon and anyone involved the with lord of the rings brand and the development of the game doesn't own Transformers or is working on the transformers game, no.

 

Yeah, it shouldn't have any affect on Transformers. Different divisions, different contracts, different companies.
