If you add them to your cart they have a shipping calculator that I find very useful. I did PO MPM-12 from them as shipping to California was only $25 in that case.
I have yet to use them at this point. Now that we seem to be getting more of them I am going to start using them as they look to be more stable than the Act stages I have been using so far.
I’m a big fan of their stability! Even use the armature from the Tracks stand with them. hopefully Skyfire will come with some orange panels for the Autobots
OK, I need some advice. My last official MP was MP-44. I think the price was high, but love him as a figure. Don't play with him to often, as I'm afraid of damaging the paint. I wanted to get Hound, but didn't owing to the issues he had. Arcee I skipped on, as I have a 3P, but though I have some aesthetic gripes, I love her posability. I've preordered Starscream, and am thinking about getting Thundercracker and Skywarp. But I'm a bit afraid that the Hound situation may repeat itself. To the people who got the later (post-hound) MPs, be it G1 or BW, do you think I have anything to worry about? Or am I just blowing the thing out of proportion in my head? @Sam @chchchch, anybody else?
The last new MP I got was MP-45. But from reports it seems like Arcee is well made and even has bare plastic rather than paint on areas that might be prone to rubbing (like the top of her thighs, her hands). Hoping they do the same smart painting with Starscream et al, I'd rather he have unpainted hands that don't chip.
For what it's worth, the Hound I got was perfectly fine. No breaks, no stress marks. Even with the reports of issues with that figure, it seems to be an outlier compared to TT's general level of quality.
Yeah, Apart from some individual cases (which we will always have) I think Arcee was good QC wise, judging by the forum. Seems like it was a one case thing... Also, happy you got a good copy! I'll probably bite and get both. Heck, I even started making space for them.
You're likely to be fine as there hasn't been a lot of systematic issues with any Masterpiece since Hound. Arcee in particular is very ruggid (for a recent Masterpiece) and well put together b
I have had 2 Hounds. The first one was broken right out of the box, the second one broke during transformation. I was able to swap some parts between the two and now I have a decent Hound. But he still feels fragile. He still feels like he could break at any time. Arcee feels great! She’s a true masterpiece. Feels solid, no fear at all
Just to echo everyone else, I don't think you have anything to worry about! Arcee is one of the most solid MPs I've owned from any era, even with a ton of tiny thin panels. And it sounds like there have been no Hound-type issues with Lio Convoy, Black Convoy, Tigatron, or Spinout from those who own them.
Is there any benefit to preordering all three seekers at the same time from the same retailer? Not sure where I heard this but is there a coronation set for SS you get if you preorder all three?
They'll each come with a voucher or something that you can mail in to trade for the coronation set. I think they all come with one no matter what, but you have to have a Japanese address for them to send it to.
I saw this mentioned somewhere else "MP-52 Starscream Ver.2.0" released in June, "MP-52 + Thundercracker Ver.2.0" limited to Takara Tomy Mall, and "MP-52 + Skywarp Ver.2.0" to be released in the future If you purchase 3 types and send the "Product Survey in progress" part of the flap part in each package, all applicants will carry out a campaign to receive "New Destruction Emperor Parts Set for MP-52 Starscream Ver.2.0". (Details will be announced at the time of "MP-52 + Skywarp Ver.2.0" announcement, and only the shipping fee will be borne by you.) This campaign does not include items sold by Hasbro. I'm wondering if there will be anything from Hasbro Asia, this may be something completely something inhouse Takara is doing, they could have had left over stuff from MP-11 and outsourced a few hundred crowns and plastic insert to a local company. Pretty sure it's different codes for Hasbro and Takara products and since TTMall no longer accepts foreign credit cards none of us over here are entering the contest.
Obviously we don’t have a direct way to contact HasbroAsia to find out, BUT we do have two options. Vendors like BBTS, TCP, ToyDojo, etc have both a Hasbro rep they can call to place orders with and a major distributor to buy products from. The main US distributor of collectible toys is EntertainmentEarth, who has the buying power to initiate orders. We can all email our favorite Vendors and EE to ask them if they can inquire about ordering the new Crown Set. At the very least, the word might make it back to HasbroAsia that the world market is interested. Unless plans of bringing this to foreign markets (outside of Japan) are already in place but kept quiet until future reveals.
I just can't get over the different coloured cockpits. Awesome looking seekers but if the cockpits aren't all the same it seems more lazy rather than masterpiece.
