When transforming it or posing. The amount of force needed to move the shoulders is scary. I always feel like im gonna snap them off.

I guess it has been a month or so since I've gotten him. The plan was to immediately transform him into robot mode (I didn't care for a big ball sitting on a stand for planet mode). I got him and was so impressed with planet mode itself, I didn't even get to transforming him. He is just displayed between my custom Fort Max & Metroplex.



With as good as it looks in pictures, it is, to me, a lot better in person. Even though it is just sitting there, it is a pure joy to look at throughout the day - yes, even a month out! The "new car smell" is gone and it is just pure appreciation at this point. I paid $1,200 for it myself, and see people paying $1,500-1,900 on eBay regularly. The price is 100% justifiable if you can swing it. You are not paying for another Transformer; you are paying for a centerpiece to your collection.

 

You can try put a little bit of 300cst silicon shock oil on the shoulder ratchet. It will feel smoother afterwards.

 

Both robot mode and planet mode can make as centerpiece of every transformers collection. I agree with you, you can look it whole day long and still appreciate its beauty. The design is just superb in both robot mode and planet mode.

 

i cannot wait for a 3rd party to come out with the pieces needed to display both in robot and planet mode at the same time. I'll probably wait until then to put it in robot mode

I think WFC is in 1:35 scale which I suppose means that 35 Unicrons would make the real thing, which would be bigger than Earth. Maybe the size of a medium sized island?

I think I remember seeing something that unicron was supposed to be twice the size of one of the biggest planet in our solar system correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not very sure

The comment quoted was entertaining the idea that the toy Unicron was literally a 1:35 scale representation of what the real character would be based on the rest of the line not an independent figure set entirely outside the scale of every other transformer toy out there.

Or at least that's the way I read it.

However, of the intent is to scale a Unicron of movie dimensions down to 1:35, that's easy too. Wikipedia offers a 1000 km diameter for the original movie character. So, a 1:35 toy would have 28.6 km diameter in planetoid form.
