Looking for a good 3rd party Sixshot. I've been looking around but there are quite few out there and I'm not sure which one to pick up. Figured I'd ask the Sixshot owners out there which version they like and why? I'll state right now that I'm not to concerned with cartoon accuracy as I place more emphasis on solid builds and aesthetics. Hoping to keep prices under $150 usd.

I own or owed the following: Gcreation Fuuma, MMC Terminus Hexatron and it's black repaint, the Iron Factory Legends Class, FT Hydra and DX9 Hanzo.

Overall, I'll be that guy and say I enjoyed my Fanstoys one the best, followed by Fuuma. Fuuma in particular is more fun, but FT nails my shelf display, which is what I want out of figure these days.

That said, at that price point you're kinda limited to MMC's Terminus Hexatron, DX9 Hanzo or a legends class.

Iron Factory's offering is a ton of fun if you like bots to fiddle with at your desk.

Overall, I'd go with Hanzo if you want large G1 aesthetic. MMC Hexatron's great, but he's an older mold and suffers from a few design quirks that I've never cared for (smallish hands, pegs that hold swords can be overtight/fiddly, odd clearances in the leg due to vehicle kibble). Keep mind mind there's a KO of Hexatron that fixes the leg issues, but I've never handled one so I can't make any recommendations.

^ I've owned all of the above as well, and have the same overall opinion as @ProtectronPrime. I have kept FT Hydra and the DX9 Hanzo green version (G1 toy coloration).

One word of caution on the Iron Factory legends figure -- his shoulders are a weak point when manipulating or transforming. Be sure to support them well and move them carefully to avoid any breakage.

If mascotzone is still legit, they have Hanzo for $130. Other than that, Terminus would be the cheapest.

G1 MP: DX9 Hanzo - it is a very nice figure and price should be reasonable.

IDW MP: Gcreations Fuuma - Between original and upcoming re-issue, you should be able to grab one for a reasonable price.

CHUG IDW: Clonedroid or MMC Terminus Hexatron - Clondedroid is a KO of the MMC version, which is a great IDW inspired Six Shot.

A runner up for MP is the FT version, but that will cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and frankly isn't worth it, when the DX9 version is still a good figure.

I've owned all of them and kept MMC and FT versions...because i collect G1 MP and IDW Chug scale.

Wow, Fuuma looks nice. So it seems like FT Hydra and DX9 Hanzo are the ones to look into from the sounds of things.

If want something fun to mess with, as far as reviews go, DX9 hanzo is where it’s at.

Fuuma is the best of all Sixshot right now, get the metallic reissue while yo can. Great articulation and presence, the treads are not great though.

Hanzo from DX9 is also a good alternative. Hydra on the other hand has wonky knees and elbows, but looks the part.

I've got Hydra and Hanzo. Get Hydra if you want if you want a cool looking figure with shit knees to pose and stand on the shelf. Get Hanzo if you want a slightly less 'premium' looking Sixshot, but one that you can actually mess around with.

I have Hydra and I think he looks great on my shelf. He does have some wonky articulation though. I did preorder metallic Fuuma so I’m excited to have an IDW style as well to go with my mmc IDW figures.

Will FT Hydra ever get re-released? Secondary market got him over 3 bills...
