I feel like Target Masters just needed one of two scenes to sell the idea. Like imagen the typical cowboy shoot out and our hero gets the gun shot out his hand. The Decepticon being cocky takes the time to mock our hero who is standing there defenceless, hands in the air and in that time the gun transforms runs back to the hero, jumps up and pop now the Decepticon has a hole in his shoulder and the table has turned.

But I'll admit I was never sold on HeadMasters. Not without making the concept less transformers and more something like Diaclone with the heads being like Diaclone drivers

I don't know if anyone else had said this but is anyone else just not interested in the Ark? Guy just looks basic and unimaginative.

Zero interest in the Ark, but then I have zero interest in Unicron, so my opinion is probably moot.

I'm not a fan of Pretenders either. Basically, if it's a gimmick that Generation 2 and Beast Wars didn't have, I don't like it. If they did have the gimmick, I like it.

    It's alive! alive!

Jokes aside, I do like the absurdity of Wheeljack riding a Ferrari with Slag, one of his more unique inventions how I see it.

I actually like the idea of non transformable figures, such as all of the RED line.

This is the unpopular opinions thread, not the straight up facts thread.

NGSmoov's Optimus Prime voice is the best not-Peter Cullen Peter Cullen impression voice too. Better than Jake Foushee, and far, far above Jon Bailey.

Sludge should be the biggest dinobot, even bigger than Grimlock.

    YouTube (Legacy):
Apatosaurus was about as tall as a Tyrannosaurus, but was much longer. Therefore, in dino mode, they should be the same height-wise. In robot mode, Sludge should be larger.

A smaller Apatosaurus is around 4 and a half meters while the biggest Tyrannosaurus is barely 4 meters. This is both measured at the hips. Ignoring height, the torso of an Apatosaurus is HUGE. So ignoring the neck and tail, it's still bigger than a T.rex. I know the toy sort of makes up for the length with the leg and tail, but it should be much bigger even without those parts.

This has mostly come up because of the Slag reveal, but...

If the Transformer design has a traditional humanoid face, their face and eyes should not be that colour, or at the very least not the same shade/tone of colour.

If they have a red or predominantly red head, their face and eyes should not be the same red.
If they have a blue or predominantly blue head, their face and eyes should not be the same blue.

If they have a battlemask, simple a head like mainframe, or they don't have a traditional humanoid face, than being the same colour is fine, but the eyes should be different.

We need more bots with colored faces. Nowadays no one really thinks to give a bot a face color other than silver unless the OG version had such.

Hire them as official actors. They were actually damn good despite being from fan works.

Call me biased, but I've never understood on why whole Slag "slang" name change controversy happened. Yes, I know what it means in a certain country nowadays. Prior to that I've never heard Slag said anywhere as a swear word. Not because I don't live in the UK, but when you've been browsing the internet for a decade and a half, you happen to stumble upon many, many bad words. Slag I only heard through Transformers and didn't know it was considered a swear word ever because it's that niche. Even most of the results on Google show freakin' molten rocks, the alternative word to it is far more known as vulgar.

Not gonna lie, Thew's review of RED Megatron makes me sorely tempted to walk down to Walmart and pick one up if they have it.

the whole slag thing isn't even that popular now anyway, It was prob peak popularity around 2005 and I don't think anyone would have even cared back in the day. Meanwhile we got Spastick a name that a 2 second google search basically shows why it's not a great idea. I know they ended up throwing a sticker on the box but like that name got by design leads, legal, graphic design teams and into production before some one brought it up.
