I once bought trans scanning Optimus and Bumblebee and both had breakages. I figured out the joint pieces were way too small to hold on. I wonder if this might be another reason of TC joint breakage.

I'm sorry to hear having breakages with this expensive awesome figure. I think I'm going to wait and not join the next batch.

Are you sure these are breakages? The lines looks perfectly straight and the angle of the lines looks also like at the right angle. A breakage with my previous figures trans scanning did not had perfect straight lines.

Oh they absolutely are. Especially the hip crack. When I move the leg side to side the crack gets larger. Same with the hinges on his knees.

I also spotted another crack on the shoulder hinge that someone else reported breakage.

Can a KO company make a knock off of this with more.diecast and good plastic?

And with a consistent paint quality. I was holding off on buying this until they either removed the weathering or made the weathering more consistent.

Does this actually happen? A KO company makes a KO of an unlicensed figure?

Generation Toys can tell you it definitely does.

Stuff like their Optimus, Devastator, and Bruticus have all been KO'd. And it happens to other companies as well

Really I'm just waiting for a Fanstoys product get's KO'd so I don't have to pay the stupid prices in the aftermarket and their recent spike in retail price.

Man, the world of unlicensed Transformer stuff is fascinating.

I wish I had the money or skills. I definitely see a few abandoned 3rd party figures that could still be improved with a KO and a little extra love. I'm not talking about upgrade parts either. Like adding extra joints, ratchets, and proportion tweaks to make the figure better and transform better.

@rushhourdude8 part of the cracks are along the seam lines and part are absolute cracks that are not weak points at seam lines.

Not excusing the issues that are becoming apparent on this figure because it's starting to look a bit like MP Hound plastic, BUT...

Instead of wishing a KO company got hold of this and released an improved version as a big middle finger to TransCraft, wouldn't it be better to want for TransCraft themselves to learn from whatever mistakes were made and improve the materials for future runs of the figure? Why has hoping for an improved KO become the default reaction whenever a figure has a flaw?

Anyone contact Transcraft for replacement parts? About a breath away from canceling my order for this.

Things are sounding so bad, I haven't even gotten mine in yet and I just might hit them up. This is so disappointing. Was really looking forward to this little guy and it sounds like I'm going to be lathering his rickety joints with all my Bengay. There's only room enough for one old man with cracked and broken joints in this house, dammit!

I’m starting to really feel like I’m in the minority here because I handled my figure a lot during the painting and customizing phase, and he’s still high on my play list right now. And I have not had any of the issues people are describing.
Please note though, that this is not my first KO, and based on my prior experiences with breakages and getting after sales support and replacement parts that it’s a long process. As such I’ve known what to expect going into these as I’m sure that many of you are as well. TC-02 has some worryingly thin and delicate parts that I’ve been very careful around. The joint stuff you guys talk about is worrisome to me because now it only feels like a matter of time before mine develops problems no matter how careful I am, and that’s not how I want to treat this figure.
I understand that it’s tough dropping a decent chunk of change on a figure and not getting a good vibe from others who are running into the same problems.
I’m hoping for all of you that after sales and replacement parts are in your future, even if it may be 6-8 weeks from having a satisfactory resolution.

Yeah same I guess I'm just lucky but mine has been transformed several times and messed with a lot (although not in recent weeks) and seems totally fine so far. But I've also been a bit weary of handling lately because of all the breakage reports.

I'll be taking a new peak soon with all of these problems arising, but I've transformed and played with him a bunch and nothing ever caught my attention as worrisome, and I do think I keep an eye out for plastic bending in bad ways when I move it. Nothing was apparent. But I'll update when I check again in the next couple days.
