Shame these are the only blast effects you can buy on their own, because they honestly look like shit compared to hasbro's....

These are as sweet as I hoped, I hope they make some more shapes that can fit the lights

Making CHUG look good. Can't wait for blast effects to make it down to legend scale.

Just got the pink set for TRex Megs but need a battery. How does this work though? Will I tap the metal base of the crystal to the bottom of the light kit before inserting it back into the blast effect?

I respect that. Everyone has a different method of displaying their collection. I’m the opposite. I like to pose them in groups as if they are in battle. For me, I find them more interesting and fun this way, so I’m constantly changing up the scenario every X amount of days or weeks.

Is the blast effects heavy enough where it would drop the arms of certain TF because the joints are too loose, or the TF don’t grip the weapon very well. For example Double Dealer.

The pegs are jank on these. For some bizarre reason, Shockwave Lab used a weird tapering peg on these as well as the Grimlock sword. So, they won't fit properly in most ports.

The peg on the blast effect for Beast Megatron is at least partially fixed, though. That one you can plug in all the way.

That’s a shame. I guess I won’t invest in them. I wish the new official ones from Hasbro wasn’t just repaints of Jetfies and what looks like Omega Supremes blast effects.

Ok I’m on my second set of these because the last didn’t turn on. Now I’m starting to think it’s user error. Any guidance? I’ve flipped the battery and the LED component every which way, stuck the magnet all over the place, and I just can’t make it happen!

The battery holder may not be making proper contact and/or pressure. Chances are, all your LED units are fine. Some coin cell batteries annoyingly also need pressure applied to work.

Flipping battery to wrong orientation obviously won't help. Positive side of the battery also includes the sides. The bottom is negative and insulated from the rest. The battery holder is similar and the sides are also positive. The negative side is difficult to photograph but is circular on the circuit board itself.

To help improve contact and apply some pressure, press and make a small indent in the middle of the battery holder. Obviously don't crush and obliterate it.

Re-insert battery in proper orientation. Battery should feel more snug when going in.

    Voila.

Anyhow, the handles on these are all jank due to their new tapered design, which is awful. Shaving down at the base can help. The Beast Megatron version tweaked the peg, though, and fits better.
