I'd say this is just one of those very isolate instances in which they do. I mean, there is absolutely nothing like this before it.

I wouldn't put much faith in Hastak allowing official transforming figures ever, TBH. Unless of course is something niche like this, or a model kit or something.

Or hell, Lego. One can dream, no?

Show us a cheaper, officially made Optimus Prime that transforms by itself with all of this features that is available to buy right now for a cheaper price.

i don't transform my bots i'm a display only tf collector but this how could you not play with it   i don't think the novelty would go away for me especially when someone comes to see me

Honestly, I'm half hoping we get a transforming Flame Toys figure now that we got this. Probably a long shot.

Can the cheaper stuff transform automatically though?

 

It does walk though?

 

It actually can. You can even command it to transform and it'll start rolling forward in vehicle mode. Or you can command it to transform and it'll start walking away in robot mode. The thing literally karate chops, blasts away with its rifle and does the hero landing pose. Plus tons of other stuff.

I did preorder one in order to reserve it but goddamn that price tag. That stings right after Unicron. I'll set money aside between now and August and see how I feel about it then. Both modes are so compromised in order for the gimmick to work, so it doesn't look nearly as good as a similarly priced statue. But what a suite of gimmicks it has. It has the potential to have the sheer inventive fun that the Lego Mario sets have.

To pre-order or not to pre-order. Why am I hesitating? Cool gimmicks and it's fricken Optimus Prime!

 

I mean yeah it looks cool and does a lot but is it worth the price for a gimmick you'll probably get bored of in a week of playing with it.

 

I own the original robosen t9, it's really awesome. It looks a little like Kup in alt mode

 

I love it, this would've floored me as a kid. That you can program it to expand what it does is amazing too.

Uuuuugh so torn. Prime was my childhood hero but goddamn that's expensive. A Chinese KO could knock this out for half the price I'm certain, and given 3 more years of development it will be half the size and twice as fast. Is it worth it to say you got 'the first one' even if the gimmick of it combined with a size you can't keep on your desk makes it something that will collect dust? I'm thrilled with all the awesome posing and voice recognition, I did not expect that.

If money was the issue (I am thankful, every single day that it is not, I am) I'd cancel all MP's being released this year in order to get this, I swear.


This is a dream come true for me. I know I will end up breaking it because of how much I'm going to be playing and showing off this thing. This is amazing!

 

The vehicle mode is passable and the features are crazy awesome. I even largely love the robot mode but that panel behind his head absolutely kills it for me. It isn’t there in the renders (at least I think they are), but seems to be on the actual item.
