Saw a couple of mins at the start, but decided to bail in favour of stripping down a fancy turntable I'm meant to be fixing for someone.

Can't help but feel that wrestling with filthy aluminium, springs and crusted oil was both more worthwhile and more Transformers-y than that stream was...

I had to stay until the end aaaand? Fuck me. I'm speechless.

That had all the pacing and self awareness of the star wars holiday special.

The original plan was 30 mins of detailing the Ark's playset features, a 20% discount on the pre order to those watching as well as an exclusive Mainframe in G1 colours giveaway.

That's the problem - if you make a bad stream, eventually people will forget about it, maybe throw participants a voucher or two and they'll be pacified.
But... cut short a public figure talking about minorities, diversity and cancer survival? The headlines will follow you into your next job.

Didn't think of that. I doubt he did it deliberately, but he really trapped them there.

Agreed, I think he was just passionate. Not an easy situation for the organisers. I think they did the right thing - and I wonder what comments came up to convince them to disable the chat.

Watched it on YouTube via some streamer. Only turned the sound on for Cybertronic Spree and the guy turned his volume down halfway through their set. Pffft. That would have been the only good bit. If I'd paid for that I'd go shoplift Hasbro products equivalent to the cost tomorrow, so I could get my money back from Hasbro but not my time....

Serious talk if but for a second. As a warm up for the main event it was a silly and enjoyable bit of fluff. Don't think it was meant to be a reveals show, more a cheesy bit of corporate love.

In Taboos defense, there were a couple opportunities to neatly wrap up the discussion but the Hasbro guys kept the conversation going.

All worthwhile points of discussion, but I don't think that's what most folks were there for!

Come on Hasbro, make me regret not signing up for premium.

If anything it will be interesting to see if there is a backlash from TF and Joe fans about not being included in the evenings events. It's the sort of thing you are going to be even more annoyed about if you had just paid £40 for membership and realising that tonight was part of that and what the hell have you paid for?

Is there another thread on here discussing it? I would bet it isn't pretty....

Counterpoint, I think they really set themselves up to fail with the way they hyped it, like posting this:
    Screen Shot 2021-04-09 at 00.09.32.png

    Right after this:
    Screen Shot 2021-04-09 at 00.09.51.png

You can sorta see how folks would maybe expect more by confusing the Hype for the Membership as Hype for the actual event.

There's a fan vote, but it'll be ignored for the socks I was gonna wear anyway. Then I'll eventually get around to the socks everybody wanted and post a pic like it's the hottest shit anyone's ever seen.

Btw, I hear they've booked John Major for next year.

Yeah, that may have happened. Along with rampant vulgarity, spamming attacks on Target and some more direct attacks on people. Standard.

@Seeaich, probably a fair point. A very fair point.

So, I missed absolutely nothing then?

Why am I not surprised in the slightest. And I'm still £20 better off.
