Ok, so after some weird luck I've managed to finally score a Carnifex.... twice. Long story short, I recently bought for one myself from @RyanCharlie but I later found out I have one incoming as a gift from my brother. Needless to say I don't need 2 and I don't want to ruin the extremely generous surprise further by asking him to return his.

So if anyone needs one please let me know. Going to sell the one I just bought. Would just like to recoup what I spent (or as close as possible).

Thanks for the heads up! I really appreciate it. You rock for pinging me! Unfortunately the TFW alert system leaves a bit to be desired and I never saw this   I just came back to the thread in the vague hope of reissue news that I'd missed.

Oh well. I've kinda given up on getting this anyways, lol. Maybe planet X will do an Overlord eventually...

 

Has anyone tried to contact MMC to see if they have any plans for a Carnifex rerelease? I imagine there is a significant number of people who want him, judging by how expensive he goes for on the aftermarket. Guessing there would be some people who got into the game a bit later and want him to go with D-Zef too.

 

There was a re-issue planned like... a year or two ago, I think? But they didn’t get enough preorders so it was canceled. (I was bummed, I had one of those preorders.)

But I agree, I think they should try again (speaking selfishly here as well, haha). I think there’s probably a resurgence of interest now that he’s become so scarce and expensive. They might get more bites this time.

 

The BadCube reissues failed at first too. Then interest went back up and we got our reissues.

I'm just hoping MMC takes another poll eventually.

Hi! I have the LG-EX God ginrai and was wondering which overlord would be correct in both scale and aesthetics. I had held off on buying the takara overlord as it was shorter.

Carnifex released many years ago and hasn't been reproduced since so he's been sold out for quite a while. MMC attempted to reproduce him in 2019 and the sales numbers were so poor they cancelled it.

People have been asking them to make more of him quite a lot over the last like 20 months or so, so they might put him up for order again, and if the sales are good then he'll get made.

If you scroll your mouse wheel up you'll see links to a number of vendors that sell mmc products and their are many others available to you but depending on your region.



Carnifex was previously sold for $185 US initially and is likely to cost more if he's made again. The addon set made for him with the mini bots, leg guns and g1 style head is sold separately and likely still would be with a relist. Those things being present on the copy in the photo you have there which brought his total price up to $211.

Third party toys also have a long history of rampant delays, very limited and frustrating availability, rapidly sky rocketing second market prices and completely random variations on quality, satisfaction and value regardless of what positives or negatives you may hear of any one companies output.

Lucky for you Carnifex is still widely considered one of mmc's best products so he should in theory be just as good as he was if more ever get made. Though by today's standards his articulation would feel a little bit lacking for a 12 inch toy.

 

Yeah I'm in the list of 'Man I'd love to get this guy if I didn't have to pay like 350 dollars+ for him'. Really hoping they reissue him sometime.

 

I’m crossing my fingers for a reissue too. He’s aged well and would look great looming over the new kids like Optus Pexus and Eris.

Slightly kicking myself here for deciding I was ”done with IDW” and selling him, only to be drawn right back in  

 

With Fuuma getting a rerelease, it'd been cool to see a retool of this mold as Black Shadow. Not that I can afford Fuuma with Cacus and a new Titan coming out... urg
