Oh we're not yelling, we're politely just trying to debate what is the proper interpretation of transformation in this franchise now! Everything we knew about transformation is all wrong it seems!

 

So when my car starts and leaves my garage, it's transforming?

*looks at Titan Fort Max, which lays down to become a city*
*looks at Titan Omega Supreme, which does the splits to become a launch pad*
*looks at Titan Scorponok, which does the splits to become a city*

Honestly, this Ark design seems one of the more complex ones.

 

A blast effect peg on its butt would be perfect. I'm already digging through my stash for the best looking "sting" explosion.

At the risk of sending this thread into another meltdown, if the Ark comes with the same type of Microfigure as Unicron, does that mean in the WfC Universe the two toys are scaled to one another.

On that note, would the Ark be close to correct with ER Sky Lynx?

 

Incorrect.

In the tv show, the bee is stored inside Scroponok, inanimate, and with the wings closed. It is part of its host, in the same way a pretender robot is part of its shell. In the toy, it is merged more intimately with the claw. In essence, it IS the claw.

It then "transforms" into a flying, or "dynamic" form.

It most definitely fulfills the definition of "transforms", similarly to how Transmetal Megatron "transforms" into a third mode (that of a roller-scating, "flight mode"), or how Miles Mayhem's flying helicopter "transforms" into a flying jet.

My point stands.

 

That's about what I was thinking too, while I can understand peoples issues with it I still very much how it looks personally. But I wouldn't have been against it if the Ark was gonna be a solid playset / ship and didn't have a robot mode.

However, as far as I'm concerned, the matter is closed.

 

The bee storing in Scorponok's claw doesn't stop it from being a bee, any less than putting water in a bottle stops it from being water.

 

Honestly if the Ark had just been a ship and a playset. It would have been a straight up pass for me. I'm in this hobby for giant robots. If the robot has a base mode then cool. But no bot mode usually = no sale for me.

That's probably why they didn't do that, especially at this larger scale, perhaps?

 

I also feel like Teletraan *might* be a modular figure. Which could explain why his integration with the Ark proper isn't clear at this time.
