You are a big enough G1 fan that you WILL buy it, don't kid yourself. ;-) I barely know you and even I know better.
Besides, if there is any toy where battle damage is warranted, it's the Ark. Crashing nose-first into a volcano and being buried for millions of years tends to leave its mark, y'know? :D

Well, see, he was an EFFECTIVE idiot. Kinda like Inferno who replaces him from S2, he was loyal and got the job done, and never expressed his doubts or had thoughts of treachery. That's the type Megatron values! I dunno if you noticed, but only 2 kinds of people serve Megatron for long - idiots (Waspinator, Quickstrike, Inferno, Scorponok) and enslaved servants (Dinobot II, Rampage). Everyone who had a shred of a brain either defected (Dinobot, Blackarachnia) or betrayed him (Tarantulas, Terrorsaur... even Quickstrike, once). I always felt this is why Megatron failed. You can be a great evil genius but if you have a bunch of Pinkys to enact your evil plan, they are bound to fail. Of course, any competent minion would have likely made Megatron envious and paranoid...

this isn't stealing Hasbro's Thunder, this is a planned PR beat, they've done this with IGN at least the last 2-3 years I believe, let them reveal a handful of figures earlier in the week before the big reveal showcase.

Ohhhh man, would GREATLY love that Ark. Sadly and ironically, the biggest challenge for him joining my collection is ... space.

Scorponok looks good - I’ll probably pick him up! Ark is great too, will be a nice piece to have in the collection.

Especially if they downscaled it considerably. KO companies, are you listening??

Love that ship. Had lights and transforming sounds and guns too. Super little ship.

What I like about Kingdom ark is its drawing on other aspects of the mythos like the last autobot from marvel but this ship isn't a playset and you can't appear to add any figures to it. It does look good and its a long overdue addition.

Trypticon is the best we can hope for now on terms of its opposite so I'm happy with that. As I always say no one is making you buy it. If the ark doesn't float your boat no pun intended then don't get it. It really is that simple.

mine, all of them are mine.

I might even get two Arks because I cant decide how I want to display it with the rest of the titans, its bot mode is the obvious choice, but this is THE ARK. If I don't end up getting two, this might well be one of the few TF figures I actually display in its alternate mode. (same goes for mainframe, because Teletraan-friggin-1)

Head Canon: Autonomous Maximus, the "first titan" and one of the original 13, he is accompanied by his City speaker Mainframe. The Autobots found him in stasis in alt mode, assuming it was just a derelict ship, fixed it up and and dubbed it The Ark and used to to flee Cybertron.

The thing about having two Arks is that you always have one.

While I wish that the Ark was more of a triple changer with a play set mode as well it’s still everything else I wanted from the Titan Ark (and any complaints are made up for by them FINALLY giving Teletraan 1 a physical body which is a concept that is long overdue for some sort of realization)

Galvatron actually looks quite good here, proportions are still a bit odd but Idk man seeing him with the Matrix it all just makes sense. I was waiting to see how he looked after getting Cyclonus to decide whether or not I get Scourge and complete the Heralds, but now I think I definitely will be.

Scorponok, however, is a beautifully fat angry little arachnid manlet. He looks like the visual representation of a New York taxi drivers long exasperated “motherfucker” after returning from a busy night in Times Square. He feels like he should transform into an anvil. I feel like there’s a button on him somewhere that I should press to make him say “WELL WADDYA FUCKIN MEAN I DON’T PROVIDE AROUND HERE?”. Give me twenty of them.

Oh well... it's a case that no matter what, it will sell, and anyone that dares state anything less than popping a tent for anything Hasbro does ends up getting rained on by those that consider Hasbro golden with anything they do.

What are the choices... to buy or not and that's about it.

I do believe that Hasbro has done amazing figures, except for the fact that most are actually amazing only IF you fix everything that Hasbro went cheap on, with gaps being the worst offender.

I've absolutely loved so many figures throughout the years but every time I see a penny pinching item that just takes away from a figure being good, even great, but never amazing due to that cheapness, it's sad.

We've heard all the arguments from the Hasbro defenders, which none are actually based of facts, but it still doesn't matter, this will sell, show Hasbro that they can continue doing this and life goes on as the toys gets cheaper and cheaper in quality while increasing in price.

I do think that it does look decent but the flaws are too many for me and it does make me sad.

Oh well.. maybe on massive discount, but then, I'd never care to do the robot mode. I don't consider the Ark to be robot and it's sad that Hasbro went for that as it's audience is limited instead of the playset. But that limited audience is still large enough that Hasbro knows that they will sell their estimated numbers for maximizing their profit margin.

Ark is going to be around 250$ CAD. The Movie Ark/playset was about 40$ CAD new at the time (so closer to 1/6 of the price). I got two used for 10 and 5 $ (CAN) and it actually is a really great toy that once in hand, made me realize that I should have get one new in box at the time (but all good as the ones I have aren't too bad and have most of the parts).

I would have preferred (even loved) a similar oversized version of this approach.
