definitely, Outside of the Dinobots, most Autobots had rather pleasant voices in the past, while all the decepticons always sound like they're about to murder someone, even when their reminiscing about their holidays.

The play value of this concept is simply immense, and the 5mm post and port system just works really well with it. Just a little more support for these ideas, and we would be able to rig up combiner teams using War for Cybertron figures! Honestly, overall, I feel like this is the best mainline there's ever been, and that they should keep tweaking and re-issuing Siege, Earthrise, and Kingdom stuff to a limited extent. Repaints, retools, weapon packs, gift packs. Some of the best issues from these series were store exclusives that most people never had any realistic shot at getting.

For example, suppose you're fairly new to WfC figures and you want to complete your Earthrise Seeker set? Bend over and get a handful of vaseline... I was able to get Thrust off TFSource for a semi-reasonable price, but I think I'm doomed as far as Dirge and Ramjet.

Agreed. I hope that the Weaponizer/Modulator/Fossilizer Gimmick lives on after the WFC Trilogy just like the Titan Masters lived on in the form of Apeface and Snapdragon. In fact, they could keep the original "Equiptors" (my name for a category containing Weaponizers, Modulators, and Fossilizers). In fact, the fact that these figures partsform into armor isn't new. It was actually linked to Gaia Unicron from the Prime toyline (which, in that continuity, the phrase "War For Cybertron" was used for the game). And considering that the Arms Microns allowed for the creation of larger weapons, the Transformers Prime Toyline is very much the spiritual predecessor of the current War For Cybertron Trilogy Toyline. In fact, that continuity was the source behind Nemesis Prime's Partner in Crimes Giza.

So, I hope that the C.O.M.B.A.T. System, the A.I.R. Lock System, and the F.O.S.S.I.L Technology evolve later in Transformers.

this is genuinely one of my favorite scenes. It's so damned funny, but also makes sense with how impatient and awkward Prime and the Autobots would be. "Sleep well, handsome man!" :D  There's just a lot of personality given, here.

Also, not sure if this is unpopular nor not, but here's two of my favorite 'first encounter reactions' to transformers:

from the first live-action movie, Epps in the battle at the village. "Unknown, I-Man, if you see this shit!"

And from Armada, of all things. When Optimus prime first appears and Megatron says, "Optimus Prime!"

And the kids all go, "Optimus who?!" :D

Here's another one. This thread should've just been titled, "Your Transformers opinions." because I swear, half the time it's, "I think this!" and you get a chorus of, "I think that, too!"

Galvatron's alt mode is one of the worst alt modes ever.

I don't have anything against cool space guns, but he looks less like a cool space gun and more like... I dunno. Someone just scribbled up something? It's like Rung's alt mode if it wasn't played as a joke. Or those cases when a zero-budget 70s B-movie cobbled some household appliances together to make "futuristic" props.

I don't know, I think emphasizing these are unpopular opinions means that the probability of the thread devolving into a complete dumpster fire is reduced to near zero. If someone sees an opinion they don't like, they'll just let it go because they already know they're not supposed to like the opinion.

I really hope that the next series after kingdom that introduces galvatron, uses his marvel colors instead of his G1 cartoon colors 46C3D6E1-52C1-409D-ACAA-4034804E3600.jpeg
and also have mark hamill voice him.

    I still can’t decide-

Is Galvatron better as his own character? Or as a reborn/reformatted Megatron? I like the idea of Galvatron going insane because resurrection is never perfect, but there is some merit to a unique Galvatron as well. It’s one of those things where I like both, and would much rather see good execution than judge it before hand.

I think it would be awesome if Megatron bites the bullet, gets sent to “The Pit”, which has often been referenced as Transformers hell, and gets recruited by like Vector Prime or Solus Prime to basically go Doomslayer on a ton of demonic Transformers. Afterwards, he could be “reborn” as Galvatron, but the experience is in a way like a metamorphosis that changes him, as those “demons” are really his own.

Twist is that Megatron doesn’t regret anything, and that those “demons” were occasional spurts of insecurity and weakness spawned from unconstructive emotions, which lets Galvatron return from “The Pit” (which is just part of the Astral Plane) as a far more efficient leader, until the lack of those weakness (last shreds of positive emotions) cause him to turn into the sadistic, pure evil, and terrifying Galvatron he becomes.

Bayformers fans are an odd bunch. I don't mean for liking the movies (well maybe when it comes to AOE and TLK lololol), but, well, the movie forum and movie news threads really speak for themselves.

The worse types of Transformers fans I have had the oh so pleasure of interacting with are Geewunners (actually geewunners, not people who simply like G1 and then are labeled as it), and what ever the Geewunner equivalent for the Bay movies and Prime (of all things) are called.

I have no doubt every continuity of Transformers have their own form of Geewunners (I've even seen one or two for Armada) but those three groups are the biggest so far.

Well aren’t those some of the most popular forms of media the franchise has been expressed in? More total fans, means you are more likely to run into a “geewunner” style fan than with like the UT, for example.

yeah, it was the pool that Rodimus pushed him into, right? I kinda wish it was the resurrection instead. Would have been a cooler take on it IMO.
