Firstly, thanks to @Emirate Xaaron for this Hot Rod. A price so good I feel kinda bad, well packed and quickly sent. I am very grateful

Scourge is holding up an order of mine from SAF, so it's probably an issue with Hasbro sending out stock.

So I was walking out to my car, holding Soundwave in my hand, as I embarked to the retail park to get a coffee and then roll up to Smyths for a return. And maybe it was the sunlight hitting the figure, illuminating his eyes, and that slightly cocked head giving him the look of a sad puppy, or maybe it was my incredible indecision persisting, but I couldnt return him. Not sure what Imma do re: Siegewave and Netflixwave but he's staying with me for now.

    image0 (4).jpeg

And so he's taken up residence on my wall of loot, where he will remain with some others until SAF receive their stock of Scourge and we'll have a goddamn bonanza.

What an awfully starscream-ish move, ironically from soundwave.

This Pulse Rainmaker business is a good omen. You never know which tricky exclusive might thrust its way onto their site and into our lives next.

Just had a quick scan here and Reddit (no idea how to 4chan) and I can't spot the leaks - what are they please?

I can't seem to stop transforming Hot Rod, I never play so much with a complex toy like this, but there's something so smooth about this one. Let's hope T-cog burn out isn't a real thing!

I only remembered it because it got reposted in the Speculation thread (one thread occasionally worth eyeballing) recently...

@joetele a few weeks ago I offered to pop into b&m to pick up a hot wheels turtles party wagon. Managed to make it today. Are you still interested in it? No worries if not

You are welcome. Happy to have helped. Fingers crossed for you that HR doesn’t have any other blemishes and you can address the paint issue. Somebody more versed in mods might be able to answer your question on alcohol cleaning agents to remove battle damage/ paint bleed. Such things irritate me with collecting especially on the pricier figures and harder to get ones.

Good luck with the packing and the house move.

Nice one. Well up for Pipes, always wanted one for the Lost Light shelf, but suddenly wondering if it's less cruel to just put him with the S1 Autobots.

Do we know if Wheeljack is just a reissue?

Been thinking about this again - I'd want the Turbomasters. Rotorstorm was F'ing gorgeous and Flash was one of my favourite toys. Plus, y'know mofoing Thunderclash!

Somehow the voice acting is out of place even in the trailer... there's just no flair to any of it

Meow! Picked up a couple of broken Jags on eBay so I could build a whole one.

One was a bit mis-described as it didn't mention it was missing missiles, but did note the missing head. Not sure if I can be bothered to complain as I really only wanted the front legs. Looks ok in car mode (minor damage to front fender). If anyone's interested in an alternators ravage that can only be displayed in car mode make me an offer...

I've since remembered magic erasers are meant to be good. I tried one on er megs battle damage, but it didnt move it. Might work on paint spill though. I'l give that a try later. Roritchi is really nice in that gold, and Scourge just oozes sex appeal. He's looking good. Will most likely open Hot Rod tomorrow.

    Thanks! Hopefully it'll go smoothly.

I understand why repacks are a thing but ugh those slots could have gone to Beast Wars characters, you know? Or even new G1 bots that still need their update.

I guess I’m just salty about Terrorsaur apparently being an exclusive

The thing to keep in mind is what Scott "ToyGuru" Neitlich AKA Spector Creative points out is without the Exclusive Backer taking it on it wouldn't happen at all, also the perspective that it's highly likely that BW is a bit of a last minute swerve due to the Pandemic delaying the next TF movie, and that they split the TFTM cast into SS'86 as Placeholders to pad out the line, on top of TFTM itself possibly being a swerve from the original intention to do G1+Armada in WFC:Chapter III after the Micromasters didn't set the pocket money priceband alight, and we kinda have to be grateful that TFs are shambling along as well as they are!

It's comic books. Multiple realities is basically the norm.

There's no reason they can't have a brand new shiney mainline reboot featuring all the latest and greatest toys, and keep a MTMTE style book free from that continuity separately. They didn't need to throw everything out.

I think DC are close to releasing rather than having four Batman titles set in one universe, they can have four (or more likely ten) Batman titles set across vastly distinct universes. Batman '89. Batman Animated continued. Batman Beyond continued. In the future why shouldnt they continue the Snyder universe, or JLUnlimited, or the Green Lantern movie universe (the last one was a joke). They managed to get three more decent "seasons" out of Buffy with Whedon overseeing it, and both Firefly and Last Airbender have continued past the season finale in comic form.

There should be at least three distinct continuity Spider-Man books in existence by now rather than everything just being a confused mess of the rebooted 616 post Secret Wars.

Comic companies always say you can't keep both your hardcore readers and newcomers happy, when actually you literally can. And should.

Having said that, I'm all for third acts so I am pleased that Lost Light wrapped up and I loved the way it did. But they could have given all the major characters a third act proper "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow" style ending WITHOUT skipping 25 years of story if they'd bifurcated continuity and allowed characters to age in one title and then "finished" the story, while having their cake and eating it with a new continuity book running at the same time.

Imagine bringing in new readers without sacking off the old!

That would make sense, and regarding the Micromasters I believe the fact that the distribution of them was so shocking I barely saw any in shops after Siege is the reason why they didn’t catch on. I’m not sure if the pandemic is to blame for that or it’s just good old Hasbro US/K up to their usual antics. I genuinely believe they wanted to test the waters for the Mini-Con gimmick for the next trilogy, and I’m hoping that they’re not rethinking it.
