Just received the Jungle version. Everything looks great but I am having a hard time tabbing in the abdomen. Considering sanding down the pegs a little but wanted to see if there was something else I hadn't considered before I do. Anyone else experience this issue?

Not sure if this is the same thing, but usually when I have trouble getting it from one mode to the other it's because I don't have the wheels rotated all the way (the ones on the panels the fold back for robot mode).

Make sure the upper chest/windshield has been transformed. I had to watch a video bc the instructions didn't help

Thanks for the response, guys. Pictured are the tabs I'm referring to. You can see that both ends have worn from my attempt to peg them in. It seems everything is properly lined up but the fit won't work.

Below is what the wheels that @SelectedLime375 mentioned look like. I believe they were properly transformed. Ignore the grey tab between the two wheels. I had to untab that in order to take the first two pictures.

Have you moved the two silver pieces on either side of the abdomen out? I had problems with that until I moved them into place properly.

Yeah, they are as far out to the left and right as they can go. The chest/windshield section comes down fine. It's just the stomach/abs that don't want to peg in.

Hm. Odd. I remember Emgo mentioned it could be tricky to get the front/back to peg in but mine came together fine.

Unfortunately I was right. The pegs were either too big or the slots too small. Once I sanded both down (significantly I might add) the abdomen finally pegged in. On my first successful attempt to peg in the abs it was a really tight fit. When I unpegged the abs to try to do a little more sanding I noticed that the plastic around the slots were beginning to stress. No idea what happened with this copy or this run, but something went really wrong when they made this section. I never noticed any of the YouTube reviewers have any problems with this.

So it was the slots then. I was going to say on mine it's fine pegging that section in, but trying to get it untabbed can be difficult with how tight it is.

Happy to say that those pegs were the only issue I encountered with this guy. An excellent purchase.

I just got mine. It's my first time owning this mold. My ab grill won't tab in, and at the same spot that you circled. At first I thought I had the fit wrong, but it really looks right to me.

Can you share some pictures of what the tabs look like after you filed them down? And, once you filed them down, does the toy hold together adequately?

    Thanks.

I'm out of town at the moment but I'll take some when I get back. I don't think they looked too different in the end, it was just lot of awkward sanding due to the angle and limited space.

The thing I was concerned with was accidentally sanding down the wrong side of the peg. So I did a little at a time, tried the fit to see if there was difference, then tried another side if there wasn't. Once I saw progress with the fit I had a better feeling which side of the peg was the problem. I focused there and tried to sand the corresponding side of the hole as well.

Has anyone had issues getting the missiles back off of the posts on the backpack? Any tricks? Just got this one tonight and those missiles are ON THERE.

I went ahead and did some sanding. I only removed tiny amounts from the tabs and the slots until the ab piece started to tab in.

Is there supposed to be daylight between the grille piece and the actual abs? If this is how the fit is supposed to be, then I guess the operation was a success. But if the grille is supposed to sit flush against the abs, then I guess I have more sanding to do.

I believe I just pulled like hell. Make sure you’re pulling the right place though. The missles don’t come out of the frame.

What’s with all the pulling and sanding? Just tab the abs in gently but firmly... likewise you can slide the missiles out with some firm but gentle effort...

Geez no wonder you guys are always complaining about broken joints and parts...

Oh, is that all? Just gently but firmly? I've never handled a Transformer before. I'm glad you're here to tell us these things, professor. Or maybe, just maybe, not all figures (even from the same mold) are created equally. A wild concept, I know.

Anyway, I'll get you those pics later today @Lord Of Tetris. I'll take one showing how the grill on mine sits as well.

Here is what mine currently looks like. It seems tabbed in securely. Takes a little effort to untab and you can hear a click when putting it back together.

Below I can see a small gap at the lower part of the ab section. I can only see it from that specific angle. Not sure if that is as intended but it doesn't really bother me. Let me know if this is the same gap you're seeing, @Lord Of Tetris.

Here are the tabs. Sanding was clearly done but as you can see they pretty much maintained their original look/dimensions.

And here you can see the slots. The arrow points to an example of stress marks developing in the plastic BEFORE I sanded anything. The abs would not go in at all, and once I did get some give those marks were the result. But hey, I am sure if I had tabbed them in "gently but firmly" everything would have worked out just fine.
