[EDIT: RE-uploaded as first thread contained a typo in the title!]

This custom has been on the to-do list for almost as long as TR Wolfwire has existed (or at least the point where it became clear we weren't going to get an official version of Carnivac).

I've used an OSKO of the Wolfwire mold for reasons of scale (which I'll get into below). This includes a die cast chest piece but that doesn't make a big difference in the end.

Carnivac is based primarily on his Marvel comics appearance, though this is notoriously inconsistent particularly regarding his headsculpt (see thumbnail references at the end). I started with Highbrow's Titanmaster (also OSKO) as he has those large shades that remind me of Carnivac. The additional moulded detail was achieved using Miliput, including additions to his arms which bulk out the width of his head. I also considered giving him shoulder spikes, but decided they weren't essential.

In terms of colour, I tried to find a balance between keeping both modes reasonably accurate. Also, befitting his larger scale (the original inner robot was tiny), I've let more blue and copper break up the purple. Dye was used to darken both the blue and yellow plastic, whilst adding a lavender tinge to the grey parts. Everything else was painted over, but the dye provided a good base to work from.

In alt mode, Wolfwire's cannon makes an excellent double for the one used by Carnivac's Pretender shell in the comics and still fits the Titanmaster, even with his bulked out arms.

The OSKO scales fairly well with his frenemy Springer, perhaps a shade too tall but better that than a tiny Deluxe version!

And he's just the right size to face off against his nemesis Bludgeon (who also needs a decent new Generations release)! Wolfwire's sword makes sense here, something Carnivac hasn't had previously.

Thanks for viewing as always, feedback and questions welcome!

Where is that last thumbnail from? I didn't think Carnivac had a Universe entry?

Not sure, most of my research was from TF Wiki but as I've been planning this for years, it could just be a random Google image search.

I bought an extra TR Wolfwire at the time of release to make a similar custom. It's still MOSC and possibly worth a bit more these days? Anyway- my more pressing dilemma is that the robot wolf colours are a bit crap of the original G1 Carnivac, and I always wondered could I Bludgeon fudge it with a more grey wolf, and a more purple robot......

That would be interesting. I think I just about made it work matching it to the inner wolf mode, emulating the outer shell would be a definite challenge given the placement of limbs in both modes!

I have had the same Wolfwire repaint on my "to-do" list forever. I may have to take a swing at it after seeing this. Amazing work!

Can you please do a picture in front of a different background? I'm having a hard time seeing what's paint and what's lighting.

    Absolute perfection!!

I know some people might prefer the wolf mode coloured more like the shell, but I love what you did. The Pretender inner robots get no love. I love the bronze detail on the jaws of the wolf.

As much as I'd like an official repaint as Carnivac, I don't think it would come close to the excellence you've achieved with this custom.

I’m looking at this and seeing a G2 Weirdwolf. All it needs is a G2 Decepticon symbol sticker on it
