    Yes, I'm using a chrome pen so it's going to take a while. Don't want to touch things prematurely. Here's TFMs version: tfm.grimlock1.jpg
    I love the original toys chrome though. And love translucent plastics. It's going to be hard to pick and choose how much I copy. Plan on lots of translucent paints over chrome for the gold and red.

    Just use some candy ink paints. Those are made to be translucent.
    For the already translucent part's I'd suggest to just leave out some glowing detail areas like in the pictures below.
    But some candy paints need a golden base color instead of a silver one to get the right tone. Just get yellow, orange and red and mix them to create the color tones you want.

    Awesome using Dinozaur's own Tyranno as a way to give us a different take on Grimlock. :)
