There have been rumors floating that the FT dinos will be reissued again.

I'd love it if they did toon colors and corrected the color of the washer between his torso and arms.

It's becoming a running joke that they only reissue things when an alternative pops up/gets reissued, huh?

Kinda, but we've seen hints of this flying around a good while before now.

I really hope this is true cause Grinder is my preferred MP Grimlock for mostly the scale.

But I also hope that if they do they come at around the same cost as they were originally, since Gigapower is also getting a reissue (eventually).

Same with Grimlock but for me it's moreso with the overall design, as Superator (at least how I see it) takes some more radical design choices in bot mode that don't sit with me as well as Grinder's does, with it's most radical choice having a fix that I could just pick up for like $50.

Moreso in my case it's for the entire crew, as while Gigapower's set is great and is huge as fuck, it's those same design cues that when given the chance to get both sets, i'd go for FT's. With the most obvious of the entire set being the comparison of the faces between both Gaudenter and Soar.

    Have there, though?

There's certainly a lot of wishful thinking...

There are some things I like more about Superator over Grinder, like the torso to midsection ratio and the paint/gold chrome used.

But for me the size and articulation (mostly in the ankles) are what make me like Grinder more. I always felt like Grimlock should be slightly taller than G1 Optimus/Megatron, rather than him being much taller than them (also helps the MP Prime I'm getting is slightly shorter than MP-10).

At this point, I think a reissue of any of the Dibots would probably get hit over the head with a massive price increase over the first/second releases (depending on the figure). The weight of these figures, the size of the box, the cost of shipping, all of it would conspire to increase the MSRP.

That said, many of these could be remade with better/lighter plastics, and a lighter hand with the diecast, or perish the thought, better engineered metal components. They all could use a refresh, and some of them had a refresh between releases of the figures or from figure to figure (I've got small Ziploc bags of extra face molds to prove it).

Grimlock towering over Prime feels right to me. Him being so much larger justifies his "I should be leader" gimmick. The Dinobots in general are treated like powerhouses in the show and were the autobot's answer to Devastator for a while so them being huge just works for me.

If they ever do re release, they need to ditch the chrome. Then I'd probably sell my current dibots to get them, that all being said I can't see that happening.

If TT went all 'toon, I'd still keep them. Stick them with the MP-9/10 era MP's. If TT went hybrid... then it would be an evaluation between the two.

If they do get a re-release and ditch the chrome, I'd hope they use some form of gold paint that isn't used on the Gigapower metallic. As I personally don't think plane gold plastic looks good and I really don't like how the Superator metallic version looks.

Honestly, Swoop is the only objectionable one out of the 5 due to that face but the rest are pretty good from what I've seen. What kills me is that chrome Grassor doesn't come with all the extras that metalic grassor came with to design your own perfect version of Slag but I'm not torn up about it.

Speculation from the average fan = wishful thinking. Speculation from a stock management rep who directly deals with the companies involved = credible rumors.

I’m not saying that I have an answer here... but not all speculation is created equally.

Gigapower has much better proportioned arms. Grinder looks ridiculous in that area. But then so does mp10 nowadays. The gorilla look was certainly vogue a cpl of years ago.

Daft thing is there's no need for it in Grimlock. He looks perfectly fine with smaller Dino legs.

I have a MISB one of these for sale in the Junkion Exchange that I bought to keep as a MISB second, if anyone is still needing one.

I hope they announce the next dino reissues soon. I don't want this to take us all the way to 2023.

I wonder if they'll just do two again, leaving one to be announced solo, or if they'll just announce the remaining three at once.
