Unfortunately it didn't. For some odd reason both Badcube and XTB refuse to put rubber tires on their minibots even though they put them on their bigger bots.

Yeah, sorry. At this point I've been completely talked out of getting rid of him.

As a new collector and hearing companies were out of business I have done that multiple times, but thankfully all the figures are in excellent condition and not everything has been reissued. Still, there's no way to know so it's not something I regret at all.

I always thought BadCube Huffer and Gears looked close enough to G1 toon, but didn't pick them up cos I wasn't into mini-bots.

Well, I got a few since then (the ones I wanted), and now it suddenly didn't seem too much to pick up a few more... :p

I doubt BadCube is still "alive" in the sense that they still have a designer. I think they will just re-isssue what they have molds for. (Same for DX9 going forward.)

Agreed. If a company has barely been active for a year or more or defunct and they suddenly pump out reissues, repaints, or slight retools of existing molds, it doesn't mean they are back. Today, 4/1 (of all dates) marks the one year anniversary of when Maketoys published their "we're back" message.
IMO Badcube Huffer 2.0 and Pipes miss the mark regarding the alt mode design among other things. So far the only 3P MP company that seems to be getting Huffer right is Final Victory and FT.

I'm on the fence. I bought Cubix Huff years ago used at a toy show for cheap, but the paint was chipping on the legs. I believe this was a prevalent issue for their first run before the company became BadCube. I like this mold as a stand-in, but unless something changes, I'll probably wait for the Fans Toys version.

I wonder why Badcube included Swerve alongside the Gears reissue, but not Pipes alongside the Huffer reissue.

Huff is a buy for me, I know I'll replace it with the FT when that is released but if I get a year or more out of it, i'll be happy. The other re-issues I'm not as into. (gears, serve) I'll have to look deeper into them

Of the four, inventory of Gears steadily sold out (IIRC ~ 6 months). Followed by Huffer (~ a year). Both Swerve and Piper were shelf warmers that took over 2 years to sell out.

With these historical purchase trends, both resellers and Badcube probably don't see the necessary demand to meet the MoQ numbers for a profitable production run.

So while we have at least a couple dozen people clamouring for a reissue, myself included, take into consideration that resellers want to manage risk of tying significant capital with many shelf warmer units versus allocating capital towards more quicker selling items and thus quicker ROI. That may provide better context of these business choices.

It wouldn't surprise me if we see preorders for Pipes listed in about a week or two.
In any case I was under the impression that Huff 2.0 and Piper were still readily available.

Is there any reason that Huff is $5-$10 more than Grump? Does Huff come with more accessories? All of the pre-orders that I've seen thus far list Grump at $75 and Huff at $85. Just curious.
