The humans being at the front of the story every time. Only worked in the first one. And I\'d say Bee had a great balance but it had a smaller bot cast

 

Just want to clarify that the "leak" from my source in the other thread is 100% fake. He came up with it shortly after the initial 4chan leak and @Apollux confirmed that the information didn't line up with what he knows regarding the film. It was either purely coincidental or Collider is basing their information off of the fake leak. Although I wouldn't mind if this film turned out like the fake outline lol.

 

WallE, Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, Toy Story 1-4, Bugs Life, Monsters Inc and University, Cars, the Ice Age films

I know these are all animated films, but seriously Transformers is an animated property and both can show that you dont need humans at the front for a "Mainstream" movie. Animated films can be at the Mainstream. They could easily make a movie about Autobots and Decepticons trying to hide and fight a war with no humans in the mix but as background fodder and people would eat it up.

 

At this point I would prefer a Transformers movie with no humans involved.

Otherwise it’s just the 07 or Bumblebee over and over again.

We are months off before we hear anything about the voice casting.

It's way too early to say if humans are at the forefront again. Let's hope not.

Transformers media is much more interesting when humans are involved. The "robots in disguise" aspect is one of the more neater aspects of this franchise. Now, that does not give them an excuse to make the films human-focused, but humans do have their place.

However, they are making a Cybertron film which probably won't feature humans if that's what you're looking for.

Just don't have him overshadow the bot characters and I'm good. I've been missing the human element (in this case literally) of Transformers. Minus Bumblebee the last Human characters we got were from RID2015 with Cyberverse, WFC, and IDW2.0 not having any humans at all. So I wouldn't mind if the humans were still around in the films, just not the focal center.

And now with Optimus being the focal point emotionally going forward, maybe the "lesson" he learns is to care more for humanity specifically since he never mentioned protecting them, just the Earth (bit of a stretch but still). Now maybe we can finally get good characterization out of him and he will act like Optimus,





instead of what we got before.

Executions, Mortal Kombat fatalities and threatening others to serve him under the threat of death not required (and you know actual character).


My favourite version of Optimus has the technically highest counted Decepticon kill count (at least stated by the artist), so I'm no stranger to Optimus killing others.

Just make him a bit kinder.

 

Y'know, I've never historically been one to hate humans in TFs just for being humans in TFs, I think they're a very necessary component of the formula, but it is kind of... draining how the robots are never treated as the main characters, and don't get the spotlight in casting and reveals.

 

I for one don’t believe this. Cars did well as an example and no humans.

 

Cars is an animated movie though

 

The funny thing is, The Last Knight actually kind of did what you're asking for, they had official character "reveals" during production including Onslaught, Barricade, Megatron, Hot Rod... of course this didn't really have any impact on the lousy final product we got.
