Mine finally came in but I'm at work

 

Unicron’s planet mode has 64 long equatorial spires. He has another 26 short ones, so 90 total. I don’t know who else besides me needed to know that, but there you go

 

He's heeerrreee! Can't open him just yet, I still have to finish "Grimlock's New Brain" then "Call of the Primitives" in my Unicron watch through. Then I'll pop on the movie while I open him!

 

Huzzah! I called Hasbro today and was able to confirm that my replacement head was shipped and should arrive this Saturday! Huge thanks to Oneida at Hasbro for passing along the tracking number. So excited for this ordeal to be over and to finally have a reason to transform the big guy. The weekend can't come soon enough!  

 

Hundreds of pages of bickering has compelled me to do this..
I designed this first prototype in less than 30 minutes and paint matched in 2 seconds.

I am not doubting your skills, but since it seems it was so easy for you to do, there is no excuse for Hasbro to NOT fabricate one of these and send it out to all backers to save some face for future Haslab projects.

I'm a patient guy, but 3 weeks pending on my shipment. Friends who ordered late through 3rd party are getting theirs and I'm getting close to it being impossible to take the day off. Starting to get annoyed

 

I don't mind the blue, but I'd definitely snag some version/variation of this concept.

 

Hot damn that actually makes it just about perfect for me. If you were selling these I'd definitely buy one, having a seperate piece to fix the color is preferable to me than actually painting the figure itself.

Granted Im still waiting on my BBTS order to arrive.

Finally got mine! There was a piece of sprue rattling around INSIDE his right horn, so I had to disassemble the head, break the glue on the horn and split it apart enough for me to get the offending piece out.

Very impressed at the sheer size of this thing so far. Haven't gotten to robot mode yet, but I have gotten all my other Unicrons out in preparation!

 

Well you've just convinced me not to paint the maw. The blue gears stand out way too much after the rest is coloured orange. I would need to paint or replace all of the gears as well and that just wouldn't work unless someone makes a kit with new gears and the plate to clip on top.

Anyone else hauling a unicron and argon tank in their truck beds today?

 

Well I just had a panic moment. My Unicron was supposed to be delivered yesterday. No delivery. Not the end of the world. Sometimes deliveries come a day late. Well I'm at work today and get notification it was signed for by a "Ted". No one in my home is named Ted and no one was home. I'm assuming the driver signed for it himself and left it. Luckily I live in a condo and sent a group text to everyone in the building. One of my neighbors found Unicron in the outside hallway and brought it to the inside hallway(security door). Also, I live close so I zoomed home and brought him in the house. Alls well that ends well I guess but we do have packages stolen in my neighborhood. Not very likely I guess considering the size but for 30 minutes I was kinda plopping in my trousers. I also have Sentinel on order. Hope they don't do that again as the package would be much smaller and easier to steal.

I don't know if you have further improvements planned for more prototypes but whatever you end up with I want to give you money for it.
