Ours has been fine, although i can see that happening if you crank the panel too much.

 

Oooh mine's only an hour away! Actually made fantastic time getting here. Still don't think it'll be delivered until tomorrow, but hey at least it's seemingly staying on time.

 

Yesterday mine left Conklin NY and said was out for delivery. It's an hour and 19 mins away. FedEx assured me I'd be able to pick up today and I still haven't seen any updates yet this morning.

May call again on my lunch break. Not sure how long the paperwork takes to drop off at a location but goodness!!

Holy crap guys..... I'll be really happy once everyone has their Unicrons so we can enjoy some pics and not endless shipping updates.

Yes! It for delivery! Only one day late

 

The Hasbro CS rep I talked talked to earlier today said they are still trickling in from Asia.

 

It's been a stressful year and the shipping of this guy actually gave me anxiety that I didn't know I had! LOL. Mine was out for delivery for 2 days and I did call Fedex Monday and they assured me it would be there, mind you it was 830 at night when I was talking to them. So yesterday rolled around and come 730 still nothing. I called and complained again. The 1st 2 reps hung up on me as soon as I gave the Tracking number. The 3rd assured me they ship until 8pm and then hung up on me. lol.

None the less the Fedex truck pulled in the driveway at 750pm. I hadn't even put the phone down yet! LOL I have never received a Fedex or UPS delivery that late a night. I felt bad for the poor driver being out so late.

 

I'll have mine Tueday April 6, should be fun

 

From what I have heard (and assuming I remember correctly, it’s 2:36 am now) they definitely will. They made some extra unicrons for goof ups like yours

 

Anybody keeping the box to use as a display base?

I'm considering either putting the box in a custom-fitted acrylic case, or coating the box with a clear waterproof lacquer.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

 

I plan on just setting Unicron on top of the box at the corner of my basement I've picked out for him, once I determine it's safe to move it out of my basement storage room. 

 

So I just called FedEx... According to them it was dropped off yesterday and is available for pickup... Great... Thanks for the notifications... Tried to call the pickup location and the line is constantly busy... What gives? Lol Guess I know where I'm going directly after work.

My delivery date is still listed as today but it still hasn't been scanned into my state, let alone my area. Yeah, don't think it'll be today or even tomorrow...

After investigating the broken left hip ratchet on my Unicron, I have found on way to get the pelvis opened. There are no visible screws and no obvious covers. I would have to completely disassemble the torso as well as pop all the pins for all the hip skirts, which are one way pins btw and there is no opposite side to push out from, just to even consider opening the pelvis to see what the exact problem even is. I do not know if it is feasible for me to attempt. I doubt that Hasbro would offer to replace the entire pelvis and hip assembly even if they had the parts. Still,... going to have to attempt to contact them. My Unicron does not stand on its own.

 

Man that sucks. I really hope you can get it taken care of somehow. Definitely contact Hasbro about it. It's a defective product so they should at the very least let you return and get your money back. Hopefully it can be repaired or replaced.

 

I never really liked the robot mode and got it for the planet. Not to beat a dead horse, but then the color on the planet opening changed and that just rubbed me the wrong way. I sorta got used to it over time but the final nail in the coffin for it was it just looked (please don't take this as a slam on it, this is just my opinion) cheap against the other stuff in my room. I don't collect Habsro stuff and up against the MP's and painted stuff, it just looked sorta bland.

I have the Zeta for Unicron bot mode and Studio Oz's Unicron head (which is beautiful if you all haven't seen one, I highly recommend it) so I just figured it was best to sell it to someone who could appreciate all of it. I was a little hesitant to sell it but once it did sell and it was beyond my owning it anymore, it felt right to let it go. I know the guy who gets it will love it and that's the right person to have it, not someone who's making it excuses to make it work for him.

 

Well... Definatly contacting Hasbro on this. If they cannot or will not help with repair or replacement, I will just deal with it. No way I am refunding and ending up with no Unicron. Fig is just too damn cool.

I write this in hopes that maybe someone knows how to disassemble the pelvis. Watching the latest LEK custom painting vid. Maybe that will help me figure it out.

EDIT: now I know where all the bloody screws are. damn if it isn't some major surgery to get at that hip joint.

 

Well, at least there's the stand you can use for display. Best of luck getting the problem resolved.
