I upgraded to Sheridan from the Final Victory War Machine (who was, to be clear, a perfectly decent budget figure, but who suffered from very loose joints) and I don't regret it at all - I love his scale and proportions. I don't think I'll transform him often at all, which makes him even better because Fans Toys transformations are so often awful.

If he's doing that reach out to FT to get a new screw. I've got two set aside for my knees, just in case.

Definitely good that you got Sheridan. My Wardog is mainly for alt mode.

I went back to compare Wardog and Sheridan after picking up WFC Warpath. I think the design issue that BC started (and maybe FT copied?) is that the shoulders are built on these swing arms, which could definitely have been better built with ball/swivel joints. Sure, the latter take up more room, and are more complex to position, but they have "presence" at the shoulder that neither does well. We might have been still stuck with a friction joint, but it would have been a less flippy/floppy mess.

Wardog alt mode is great. Sheridan's is OK. Sheridan is way too heavy for his size, and the extra mass made for some materials choices (metal around the knee/lower leg) that aren't really necessary. Sheridan's paint and finish are much more premium than Wardog, though.

In the end, both are good, but they are good in different ways.

Still not as bad as Takara versions.

I upgraded from final victory war machine as well and do not regret the decision. In fact I’m kicking myself for sleeping on him. I love the design I seriously should’ve gotten him earlier... Transformation is a mess at some points but okay compared to some other FT figures (I’m looking at you Koot).

While I agree Sheridan is superior to Final Victory. The tank mode of War Machine just works for me, the tiny "chibi" style tank looks great IMO.

The FV version reminds me of an enhanced version of the G1 toy.

If it's the wonky screw in the back of the knees, you can contact Fanstoys directly:

Just got done transforming this guy back to robot mode for the first time....and man, I don't think I've ever had a figure that's been as worse for wear after a single transformation back and forth. Both shoulders are now loose, the left knee is loose, and the tread on the left foot is loose, plus his paint has chipped in several places. A huge disappointment compared to Fanstoys' other minibots, which have all been easy to transform without sustaining any noticeable degradation.

I guess I should be thankful that he didn't outright break, at least. I wonder, does anyone have any recommendations for how to best tighten his joints back up, or for a good color matching paint?

I also have an extra FT-41 Sheridan in China, so if anyone is interested, contact me. The price will some 95 USD + shipping (it's s little more than I paid originally because I had to pay for some storage time).

I also have an extra FT-42 Hunk in my home in Brazil. The price for this is 105 USD + shipping.

Finally opened this guy. He is fantastic! My mini Transformers collection grows. Need to take Dunerunner out of the box and ship spindrift to grow their ranks.

What a group! Who'd have thought we'd get the minibots looking so good in the end.
