Still waiting on that booster pack...

I actually did get an extra Battlecat to possibly repaint into Snow Meow someday if it proves necessary. :D

Seems to me that the lowest price the Thundertank can be ordered for in the US is $490 shipped (to TX). Anyone know of a place which has it available with a lower than $40 shipping method?

    Barely with EE:

    BBTS is $503.99 shipped.
    EE is $488.75 shipped.

Potential taxes throw off the math. BBTS would have cost me about $530 and change. Super7 doesn't charge me taxes, plus I'm going to get it quicker.

Sideshow isn't giving information on shipping till it's ready to ship.

You can put that in the Leo Decaprio Akira and Toby Maguire Robotech.

I think thundercats is my second favorite property from the 80s....but I have zero interest in a movie. The story just doesn’t really lend itself to a movie concept. It’s not concise and the concept just wouldn’t work visually either as CGI or live action.

no need whatsoever to do this.

Ooooh didn’t realize Super7 didn’t charge tax. Agh! You’ve tempted me now on a piece I have no space for! Lol

i don’t have to pay tax for BBTS or S7, but I do have to pay taxes for EE. That’s why my numbers ended up like that.

I can't say I'd want to see a Thundercats movie either. It'd look surreal in anything but 2D animation. Plus they sort of told a complete story with the series. That story is too long for a movie and movie maker egos wouldn't settle for something that fit between pages of existing canon.

Honestly, the only 80s property that I think did their movie right was GoBots. It didn't interrupt any overarching plots, kill off major characters, or time skip. It was just a longer episode of the cartoon. But from what I've heard or read over the years, that's literally what it was supposed to be.

I just have a problem picturing the main character of a semi-live-action movie being called "Lion-O". There are a lot of child-oriented properties from the 80's that gave all their characters eye-rolling, pun-y names that you can't say out loud with a straight face. Notice how Marvel movies tiptoe around using the actual superhero names. Hard to do the same trick with Thundercats. The goofy names are on their birth certificates.

I'm not a big Thundercats fan, or really much of one at all besides memories and nostalgia, but I would have to think a Thundercats movie would only help with what you're getting. What was Transformers cultural relevance before the live action movies? Of course we're probably going to get some new designs that people will hate like people hate Bayverse stuff, but I can't think that Transformers would be where they are without those movies re-generating public interest.

Got my bonus pack today, better late than never I suppose. Really impressive, though not sure if I'm going to try to make any changes.

So tomorow is the last day for the thunder tank right?

I went with BBTS I can’t handle a huge purchase right now. I think I’ve dreamed of a toy like this my whole life. No way I could pass this up.

I think we may get news of wave 5 after the preorders close to right? I hope by Sunday night that’d be awesome.
